When did Wolverine "jump the shark" as a character?

Dude, the sad part is JR remembers every link of clickbait he has ever posted.

It’s his super-power.

It’s a superpower that’s too mature for movies.

Because I started the thread in the first place.

I talk about his inevitable film resurrection coming after Logan at home and it irritates the hell out of my daughter. She’s vowed not to watch it because Logan was the perfect end to that character.
Last night I laid out how I would go about bringing him back in a sequel and she got all wound up!
“If Jackman is down with that I’d be there opening night!”…her words.
Super heated claws? Nah, he doesn’t really need another gimmick. It would allow less blood like the lightsaber (except Obi’s in the cantina WTF?) so maybe they could get a PG13? SCREW IT! Only rated R for him from now on!

Whereas bloody murder knives sticking out of his hands and slashing people like Psycho on crack was the epitome of family-friendly…?

Exactly.

It’s boring. Only appreciated by true artisans like us.

Frank Miller started the whole “draw the claws as blades” thing. Now, that’s the norm, rather than draw them like, say, claws.

He’s a hero, I say. A hero!

“I question the premise. Wolverine never jumped the shark.”

I’m pretty sure he stabbed one with his claws in Enemy of the state…

Reviving this old topic because a similar one is being discussed on the Byrne Robotics forums:
