I loooooove that song, but I haaaaate the muddy shitty production… u_u
So I’ll just drop this here (awesome cover, and no, not metal) =P
Lesser, somewhat forgotten Chemical Brothers track, featuring The Flaming Lips - The Golden Path:
I love that song and video.
Not a bad cover but it’s a bit too clean and polished. The “muddiness” of the original is what makes that song for me.
I think that Public Enemy song was the first time I heard that Buffalo Springfield lick.
That’s Steven Stills (the same guy from the previous video but a bit older) featured in the song too.
Yeah sure, I like some muddiness as well, but there’s “good muddiness” (like the CCR song I posted) and then there’s just shitty old production… Hard to define, but on some songs it’s just too much…
(From when Kenny Aronoff still had hair.)
I was at this gig. 2004 I think…
And at this one. Which I also recall as being 2004, so I must be wrong about one of them
Together they become even more than the sum of their parts.
In a mellower mood this morning, so this sounded just right.
