My name is Chris Lackie and I would like to share with you some of the stories I have written over the past few years. I created a blog a while back as a place for me to exercise my creative muscles, and now I focus on writing fairly short prose. Most of the stuff I have written is comedy (or at least meant to be comedy), but I’ve recently dabbled in horror/suspense.
Here are the two stories I am most proud of:
The Suicide of Martin Weir
This is a story about a cop who lives in a world where monsters are common place, and it’s his job to take them down. But eventually the world gets to be a little too much for him, so he decides to go out on one last call, with no intention of surviving it.
The Drowning, Man
This story is about a man who wakes up drowning in a lake, and then goes on a mission to find out who put him there. Along the way, he meets a number of people from his past and begins to understand why someone would want him dead in the first place.
Eventually I’ll organize my blog to make it a little easier to navigate, but until then I hope you enjoy these stories.
Thanks for reading!
