I figured it’d be a Cardassian.
That’s Picard’s new Soong android. B-9.
B-9 is a good boy!
The dog turned its back on the Breen. Never do that.
I like that the dog’s tag is a little star fleet badge.
I’m putting odds on it being Phillipa Georgiou’s Captain’s insignia now.
Best Star Trek: Picard theory. The dog in the poster is the Female Changeling, who’s been paired with Picard as a troubleshooting team to keep the Federation safe and teach her why the Federation is great
Better theory: he’s a good boy.
Lieutenant Commander Woof.
You can’t see the dog’s face in the poster. The twist is that he has Borg implants and is named Locutus.
“I guess I do have a loophole, [if] the idea was to throw a loophole into it,” Tarantino said. “Which would be [to go], ‘Uhhh, I guess ‘Star Trek’ doesn’t count. I can do ‘Star Trek’…but naturally I would end on an original.’ But the idea of doing 10 isn’t to come up with a loophole. I actually think, if I was going to do ‘Star Trek,’ I should commit to it. It’s my last movie. There should be nothing left handed about it. I don’t know if I’m going to do that, but that might happen.”
The more that I think about it, the more that I hope it happens. TOS aesthetics, possibly a time travel story. Just imagine a quasi-remake of Star Trek IV, and dash Kurt Russell in there.
There are so many great trek time travel stories, IV was not one of them…
It’s a top five Trek movie.
