That name, to me, is magic. Kinda like Kathy Kennedy producing, or some other folks who just transcend ordinary mortals a bit. (Hey, most of us do that too, in our own peculiar ways. Everybody has a superpower.)
One trend I've seen in the board's ST discussions is, no matter if episode or movie, the actual plot must have meat and meaning. Lots in TOS, much in TNG, some in DS9. TOS remains the only episodic series in a true sense with an overall arc for the cast. Note that in TOS the crew was pretty much the same, a bit self-stereotyped so their reactions would work from story to story. By TNG focus has shifted to primary focus on the crew, their lives, their interactions, their pasts, and what was going on outside the ship was often secondary. STV was a bottle show, the whole ship Robinson Crusoe. STE was a mess.
So it becomes clear that what I would like to see is a return to storytelling. Darmok is a great example from TNG. Sure, we'll see the crew and such, but I just want the stories to stand out a bit more clear and independently, not just one more in a long, long series.
