Horror master Wes Craven’s representative has confirmed that he passed away today at 76 after a battle with brain cancer

Ah, damn. Didn’t realize he was ill. The original Nightmare on Elm Street will always be a favorite of mine.

Loved the man’s work. Outside of the nightmare series, The People Under the Stairs was my favorite.

Lots of people can come up with one great movie. The people I love have half a dozen and he was one of those guys. The original Hills Have Eyes terrified me as a kid. An early VHS we sneaked into school video club when I was 11 or 12.
