I can recognise the odd ticks, physical and vocal, but whatever kind of ‘fat’ effects they’ve used means he’s unrecognisable facially.
He’s also in The Crown; John Lithgow was just nominated for an Emmy.
Albert Finney is my favourite version of him in the last few years (actually, I just checked, that was 2002!), Brendan Gleeson did a good job too.
Ian McNeice isn’t a star, but he did very well in ‘Dr Who’;
Transformers is showing now.
This… is not the film I was expecting from Director William H. Macy.
Not the most original movie…but looks fun.
Yeah I laughed a few times towards the end. It’s just nothing I would have expected from William H Macy.
Why oh why would William H Macy direct that?!?..I mean he must have had to have spent weeks hanging around Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddar…Oh wait.
Don’t mess with Bill.
Well, the guy has been in the TV show Shameless for years now…
Did I just see the phrase “testes before besties”?
Don’t pretend you didn’t invent it!
Looks like one of Hollywood’s most persistent urban legend has been answered:
Star Wars Ep.VIII behind the scenes in the Star Wars thread;
Tim Burton has officially begun production on his live-action version of Dumbo, the most depressing Disney movie of all time. (Okay, maybe that’s up for debate, but this movie wrecked me as a child.) We’ve heard rumors about the cast for a while now, from Colin Farrell to Danny DeVito and Michael Keaton, and they’re all true! The casting news, along with some plot details and an official release date was announced today during Disney’s live-action panel at the D23 Expo.
Dumbo will star Farrell as Holt Farrier, a former circus star who “finds his life turned upside down when he returns from war.” The best way to fix that? Taking care of a cute elephant who’s been a bully target. DeVito, in what sounds like dream casting, will play circus owner Max Medici who has Holt care for the titular floppy-earned newborn elephant. Dumbo will become the ultimate Batman Returns reunion with Keaton, who continues his villainous streak as entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere who learns of Dumbo’s flying abilities and aims to turn him into a star. Rounding out this already stellar cast is Eva Green as aerial artist Colette Marchant. The film will also introduce newcomers Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins as Holt’s children.
