How is Squirrel-Girl not in everyone’s top five?? It’s one of the smartest, funniest and most charming comics currently being published by anyone, not just Marvel.
I had a read of Squirrel Girl a year ago. it was fine but I did not feel I was the audience. its not bad work in any way
Black Panther by Ta-Nehisi Coates is refreshing.
Does Star Wars count? Because it’s great.
Immortal Hulk has a tremendous start. Still good.
Everything’s already been said.
Yup, Squirrel Girl is up there for me, along with Immortal Hulk and Runaways.
They’re mostly just setup so far, but the Age of X-Man minis have all been fun.
Which creators are on this run? I loved the ones by Ellis and Lemire but stopped after that.
Edit: (Also, why is there cake next to my name?)
Yeah, same here. I don’t think it’s a bad book but it didn’t work for me at all, plus I really didn’t like the art.
Max Bemis and Jacen Burrows, although it ended with issue 200.
That looks gloriously bonkers.
I think this is going to be what Fear itself could of been. Wrap all the earth heroes up in cool as shit asgardian weapons and let them loose.
It only happened for 4 pages in Fear itself and it should of been at least 2 full issues worth.
Teaser from all of today’s Marvel Comics:
Seems to be a lot of speculation this is for a new Hickman series.
I’d guess Eternals.
Kree and Skrull would make sense. I could see loads of Hickmanesque world building going into that kind of thing.
However the line screams X Men.
I think it’s about how DC seems to be doing much better than Marvel these days.
It’s Inhumans vs X-Men!
No … wait …
No. No. I got …
Conan vs Darth Vader
I might at least buy Conan vs Darth Vader
And that’s how they get you, my friend.
A Star Wars vs Marvel crossover would be something. The Empire invading Earth, Vader taking out the Avengers single handedly, Galactus trying to eat a Death Star, Cap wielding a lightsaber - there’d be all sorts of great moments. I’d buy it.
