Fact: Animal Rights activists when trying to illegalize meat often target The Jewish practice of "Shechitah" and the Muslim practice of "Dhahibah" as being crueler then methods used in slaughtering Non-Kosher Non-Halal animals. This is all based on the evidence of studies done on pigs, which are non-kosher and non-halal. All Kosher animals, and most Halal animals that are commonly eaten have a different enough circulatory system from pigs that not only is it not crueler, it can be more humane in some cases. Even Humans, who's circulatory systems are more like pigs then cows in this regard, have reported feeling no pain at all when resuscitated after accidents that cut the same place that Shechitah does. Not only that, put they pass off the lie that Shechitah involves slowly bleeding the animal to death, instead of being a cut that causes a drop in blood pressure in Kosher animals, that kills them near instantly.
