I saw a single poster for 'Man Down'. There may also have been a trailer but I don't remember it.
'Free Fire' is an odd one, he may be a UK filmmaker but Wheatley isn't a household name. The vast majority of people will never have heard of him.
I definitely saw more advertising for 'Free Fire' but then I'm a film fan who works in the industry. How well promoted it was outside my bubble I cannot say.
And, even for me, it didn't look that interesting.
The idea is interesting, the cast is interesting, the 70's styling is fun but it all looked a bit flat.
Wheatley is popular with the Channel 4/BFI funding people in the UK, but he's never risen above "potential" for me. Even 'High Rise' was an interesting miss, not a hit (IMHO).
