4-5 Page Comics

Does anyone know of publishers that include 4-5 page comics? 2000AD and Future Quake are closed for submissions at the moment.

I know produces a annual anthology. Underbelly comics are accepting submission!submissions-/c1w7k. Hope that helps a bit

Alternacomics anthology is a 10 page minimum and the deadline for this year is in about 2 weeks or so. So not a ton of time for that one until next year.

The problem I have is that my story is a mime, there are no words. It works 4-5 pages, I could stretch it to 10 pages but there’s no art work as yet. I was hoping to get paired up with an artist. I wrote the story in a night, it’s pretty rough but it’s got potential, I feel.

I’m not sure there’s a ton of publishers specifically looking for 4-5 pages stories to just randomly print.

But it’s a great size to really sharpen your skills with. And also about the perfect length to figure out if you and an artist will work well together.

If you get it done, and it is something you’re proud of, it’ll never hurt showing it around/publishing it on the web. It’s always good to have finished projects to point to, when asked.

There’s always plenty of anthologies going and they’re usually happy to run anything under 12 pages.

But you have to do the work of getting it drawn, colored and lettered.

So, for Under Belly comics, it should be with accompanying art right? Not just the full script of the series or graphic novel?

Ya as a general rule you need art with your script. I think min 5 sequential pages min, or a completed copy of the graphic novel. Contact them to be sure.
