Also, I got a parking ticket last night, and strangely drove all the way back from London without even noticing the ticket was tucked under my windscreen wiper. I probably got a speeding ticket as well - I think I broke the sound barrier at one point, I was so desperate to take a leak.
EDIT: Oh, and I'm cold.
Okay, now all that's out of my system, I can have a good day...

It's okay though, I'm warm now, cos I'm wearing two jumpers.

Just discovered Stiff Little Fingers are playing Aberdeen on the 14th of March. Tempted to go but it's a midweek gig and I Really can't cope working hungover...
Ok, took me all of 5 seconds to change my mind and buy the tickets. Kids better behave themselves on Thursday the 15th 'cause Mr Gray is going to be in a stinking mood...

No, mean and cold-hearted. As you well know.

i'd think one dress would be enough.

My downstairs neighbor is howling. Howling…! I suspect he might be a werewolf.
Instant sitcom!

It could be that I've been awake for nearly 12 hours already (at 3:30pm currently)...but even still. I'd like it to be 5. Now.

The obvious solution is to not drink at the gig.

I've a feeling that "will not compute."

(I could see the point if the band was crap, but then you should just stay at home anyway

Yeah, what Steve said.
I like drinking at gigs. Not to get absolutely wankered but just a couple to loosen the normal civilised constraints and let me wave my arms, sing wildly and dance around uncontrollably without giving a fuck.
Doesn't matter how much / little I'll drink though - I'll still be hungover in the morning, I can't drink and do the work related early mornings without feeling wretched. I can't even have a glass of wine in the evening without regretting it the following day.

Unfortunately the story was about a teenager in Cambridge being convicted with murder, a teenager who was one of my former pupils...
I am totally shocked by it all, looking back he was all mouth and we never really had any problems with him...
The old saying "you have to watch out for the quiet ones" doesn't really apply here as he was never really one of the quiet ones, very few at the PRU were but he certainly wasn't one of the high risk pupils.
Utterly shocked. Sorry to bring everyone down I just had to vent a bit... in fact i'm crying now...

Ha!
I get up at 6 am but for ages I'd been pretty late in going to bed and not really falling asleep before midnight. Couple this with the fact that I'm a pretty light sleeper and wake up several times during the night it leads to some pretty ropey mornings and lots of me stomping about scowling at people.
Since New Year I've made a concious effort to get more sleep / better sleep. I've entirely cut caffeinated tea and coffee out from my diet, limited my fizzy juice drinking and (more recently) tried to stop playing videogames by 9 pm to give the brain a chance to wind down. All in all it's working pretty well and it makes getting up at pre-crack of dawn a bit more bearable.
Still scowling at folk though.

I never drink at concerts because I want to take it all in with an unclouded mind and I hate having to go for a piss and miss parts of the show. A good concert experience is enough to turn me inside out, emotionally, so I don’t need the extra buzz. After the show anything goes, though.
