Another month, another thread. You all did a stonking job of working with those materials/subjects you're not very much in love with but now spring draws near, Valentine's day is on its way and we all deserve a treat so I suggest this month be about that piece of art you love. That one piece you're proud of having made, the one you look at when you need reminding of why you spend so much time walking around with ink stained fingers or the one you've had in mind for ages but haven't quite found a reason to work on yet.

Go for it boys and girls, fall in love with your colouring set once more.

A.

I'll probably tweak this some more, but I thought I'd post it as a work in progress:

EDIT: Revised version in a Roy Lichtenstein style, with deliberately offset colour, to give it that silver age comic book feel:

Touch of the nosferatu in this one. Brings out the sinister side of the bat. Nice one.

Made a concerted effort to push out of my comfort zone these last few days. I find I keep drawing static character art with little or no pose, backdrop or storytelling - so I tried something over the last few days by way of an experiment.

Been on a bit of a Batman kick as well lately, so the two sets of circumstances collided - and here's the result. I feel sufficiently pleased with it to say I think it qualifies as a piece of art I'm proud to have created.

Dig them? They are fantastic! Love the scratching on the top hat, and catwoman's boots especially.

Jamon that catwoman is ill.

Been away from my scanner all month, so I haven't been able to participate in the thread as much as I would have liked...here's some select things I've done this month:
