What was the reason behind changing the first page? Did I miss it? Looks awesome regardless!

hey buddy,

I'm glad you like the new page one.
The other page one is now page two.
The reason for the new one is that i was advised by a head honcho who used to specialise in sci fi comics that the idea of a non human lead was good.
But he recommended that we try and make the lead character stand out more, to make him more iconic.
Val and i thought to do that we'd ram Creed down the readers throats.
So when you open the cover BOOM you are met by a giant eye.

Ah so it's not replacing anything it's just moving the other pages down a notch? Cool. You guy's were right, it's a lot more effective and definitely makes him out as the lead.

Wow Im ashamed to have missed this while I was consumed with other things, this is RIGHT up my alley! I love the new page one! The coloring on the new cover concerns me, i dont think the white bars of light (windows?) and the muzzle flashes merit the distraction they pose to the fantastic idea of the lead's big ass eye looking at the ground as he falls!

It was my impression that the small clone was not being grown on premises to adulthood but rather that she would be made available to customers in the present state (after she's vaccinated of course). Since child trafficking is a reality I have no problem with carefully presenting this theme in a factual unglorified way in a comic for mature readers. It's good for those of us fortunate enough to live in the better neighborhoods of 1st world countries to be reminded that this sort of thing happens and excite our sympathies so we can remain vigilant against it.

The art is perfect for the tone and genre.

MOAR!

You hit the nail right on the head with that! Posted Image
That is exactly what i was going for.

Thanks for your positive thoughts on the book thus far too.
You input is always much appreciated.

This is really good, guys!

I just read it for the second time, and I really want to know what´s in the box! I´m liking pretty much all the same things as everyone else here: the feel, the character, the logo, etc.

Two small things, though: I found the lettering a little distracting as there were a few times where I didn´t know which bubble was the first. It wasn´t a big thing, as the context makes the order pretty clear.
Finally, the final panel on page 4, the “here´s my warrant!”. Maybe it would be better to divide that frame into two, as I feel the impact of the punch kind of gets diluted because of everything else that´s going on, but that might just be me.

Anyway, I really liked this and I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Now that's a recommendation! :)
Thanks Georg

If its ever mass printed that quote is going on the cover! Posted Image
I totally agree with the lettering, it sucks big time and that's all down to me! Posted Image

Hey Matt,

Been locked out of the site for a while so only just picked up on this...

That is fine piece of work from everyone involved, the writing, the artwork, colour choices. Love it.

One thing I would say, the new Page 1 in my opinion should be the cover.

The other two cover variations though interesting are a little to vague with the information they are trying to get across.

Page 1 is extremely striking, imagine that coloured and out on a comic shelf.

That image alone would pose enough interest and questions to make me want to pick up.

Apart from a few minor quibbles with commas and whatnot (which have already been picked up on)

you have created a unique fully realised world with a cool gritty artwork style.

Totally awesome. Jealous as.

I still so need to draw Creed. There's so much you could do with his eye-head eye-lid wise. I keep forgetting how fucking god-damn talented Val is!

Wow guys, i'm really touched. (in the good way)

i didn't know this was so popular!
I agree Val is an amazing artist and i'm very lucky be able to work with him from time to time.

how about an update?

Well Andy, its still doing the rounds with publishers, but unfortunately we've had no takes as of yet.
Val is really busy on his masterpiece called Hole in the earth, which looks amazing!!!

Me.
I'm i've just finished the first issue of my samurai epic, Mutt with fellow Millar worlder Ray Favourite.
and i've just been green lighted to write minimum of 4 issues of another character i've created.

So we are both really busy.
I'd love to do more of infraction, but at the moment we both are snowed under.

When can i see more???

Hi Justin, sorry buddy.
There isn't any more to see.......yet.
Maybe 2013 i'll get time to do more.
i'll love the character and i have some great plans for him.
I'm still not telling you what's in the box! Posted Image

I still so need to draw Creed.

What is stopping you.
