That wouldn't really make sense though, given what we've seen so far. If it worked like that then

Spoiler

But that's how it is in most zombie fiction, isn't it?
Spoiler
It doesn't exactly make sense if you think about it. But nothing about zombies does. I mean, how long would a zombie threat even last if you really think about it. Within a couple of weeks all the dead would have decomposed to the point that they can't move and/or been destroyed by nature (i.e. scavangers, the weather, etc.) to a point that they're not much of a threat.

Well, this past weeks episode certainly had it's fair share of action, didn't it? I loved the scene at the end with Lori and Rick..she was almost Lady Macbeth-like in her delivery and I was torn believing that she is actually terrified or just wants Shane dead.
Maybe both?

Lori is evil. In fact, I think she is worse than Shane. I love the show, but I think I would love it even more if Shane, Andrea, Darryl, and Glenn would just shoot everybody else, then stumble on an abundance of ammo reserves and guns, and spent the next 5 seasons just blowing shit up for an hour each week, until a left for dead Carl is grown up and hunts them all down one by one.

Brilliant!

The actor playing Shane is doing an amazing job. Shane is, essentially, a coward. He hides it under a thick sheen of bravado but while he will tell everyone and himself that he does what he does for the good of the group, mostly he does it out of fear. Everything you need to know about the character can be summed up by the fact he wears a necklace with his high school football number on it.

The actor is nailing it. Also, the guy handles a gun like it is natural to him, which is really rare on television.

Great last episode, too.

Well, he did use a Tommy Gun in Night at the Museum 2 in his role as Al Capone.

Yeah, I think he's an excellent character. I love to hate him, but also pity him at the same time. Very tricky to pull off from all involved.

Gotta be honest...I really love the show - but I'm struggling to want to watch it. I have not watched either of the episodes since' it's return. I'm actually tempted to just wait til' it's out on blu ray and watch it then.

My assumption would be that the scientist essentially whispered (I'm putting this in spoilers because it's speculation based on what I know from the comics)

Spoiler

was thinking it would be something along the lines that one of them was infected or at least carrying...but immune, and as such, could be the key to a cure. but...it wouldn't really make sense with the way Rick was so eager to convince Hershel that there was no cure. maybe he told him that he needs to go back...to the future! seriously. I have no guesses.

edit: my real original guess was that he knew Lori and Shane had been f-ing, because they both had the clap or something, but, that's hardly something that would be a big reveal now.

As a side note and more in regards to the comic actually, I still stand by my theory that Rick and his group will meet Jim again who didn’t die and turn when they left him behind because he’s immune. Issue 100, mark my words…! Posted Image

When Rick and the gang left Jim behind we never saw him die and turn into a zombie. My fanboy theory: Jim is immune to whatever it is that makes the dead walk and he will show up again in a future issue (or episode).

Finally watched the latest episode, and I've got to say that this show is really pissing me off with it's poor continuity (though that's not quite the right term I'm looking for). What I mean is the way the show manages time. It's been a big issue for me all season long, but it wasn't until this episode that I got really irked. The last episode ended in the afternoon, but this episode opens in the middle of the night, though the characters act as if it's only a few seconds later. Then we have that one guy get ripped off the fence by Rick in the middle of the night, yet for some reason Rick and everyone don't show back up at the farm until well into morning? That guy would have been dead if it took them that long to get back to operate on his leg. Add all that to just plain stupidity on the parts of everyone in the show (meaning not one person noticed Lori DRIVE away, nor that one of the cars was MISSING) and that led to tons of frustration on my part. Seriously, the writing just comes off pretty lazy.

But I might be the only person this stuff bothers.

No, I have very similar problems with the episodes where Shane and Otis go to bed medicine from the school in which they were cutting between two scenes that seemed to be taking place at the same time even though one was at night and the other during the day.

I thought there were interesting parts in both of the last two episodes but they've still been a mess. For me, The Walking Dead is a show that survives purely on the goodwill generated by moments of intensity (whether it be acting or action) that pop up in each episode rather than it's actual quality. It's a very poorly put together show generally.

Careful not to directly spoil here on the forum, but... the role of a person who might be said to Govern has been cast...

It's....
