New thread.

Reminder: Do not spoil the tv show with comic book material as some posters are only watching the tv show and do not read the comic book.

Now back to the whole Hot Cowgirl discussion...:)

Bleeding Cool indicating which actor may have asked and been released from their contract when Darabont was fired as they're pursuing a lead part in Darabont's new show . . .
Spoiler

Although don't go to Bleeding Cool if you don't want spoiled as although the actor isn't named on the front page there is a picture of him/her for the article . . .

I've seen Ep.8. Another talk-heavy ep, but some nice moments...

Rumors are going around about casting of a character. This probably doesn't need to be in spoilers, but I'll do it anyway just to be safe

He is awesome, and I can think why they'd think of him. He certainly has the governor's look.

Oooh I wonder how soon they plan on bringing the Governor in, if rumors of casting are already spreading

Okay episode with a fantastic ending.

The only thing that really bugged me was Lori. Her little side story reeks of the kind of padding that Rory was going on about earlier. It was just a case of a character doing something very irrational in order to add more (and in this case unnecessary) drama. I think there's more than enough drama to explore between all of these characters without needing to have one of them do something stupid to create it.

But otherwise, a solid episode. And yeah, really nice ending.

I totally agree. I was like WTH is she doing and why are they doing this?! I really love how they ended that episode. It was full of intensity.

If Plot was a man walking down the road, this episode was where he stops for lunch.

The Lori thing was out of place and made no sense, we get some female character that up til now had like 30 seconds of screen time go sick even though no one watching cares a lick for her, and then we had 2 cannon fodder people show up for 5 minutes just so the writers could try and make us think Rick is a hard case after all.

Nothing. Happened. Maybe if this episode was 3 weeks from now it would be ok, but for a mid-season opener it was a big stinker.

Agree, but the last ten minutes were so engrossing it made me forget the previous 40 minutes or so. Previews for next week look like it might be action time again, though.

I wish they hadn't killed Michael Raymond-James' character. I like him, and his few minutes here were very well done. The scenes with Rick and Herschel were great, but the rest of the episode was very forgettable.

That was a fantastic final scene, wasn't it? I'm sorry we won't see more of that guy too. I have to think whoever he was with will come looking, as cool as the scene was, why have them show up and then just end? Just to remind drunken Herschel that Rick and his people are the good guys and he's lucky to have them around?

Read in the paper the other day the what the CDC scientist whispered in Rick's ear will be revealed at the end of the season.

Apparently it is not good news. Shocking, I know.

My assumption would be that the scientist essentially whispered (I'm putting this in spoilers because it's speculation based on what I know from the comics)

That wouldn't really make sense though, given what we've seen so far. If it worked like that then
