Wasn't too bad for me surprisingly, one of the few missions I only died on once. What class are you? Because any class that's better than mine at combat (which is Engineer) should probably be totally fine with it.

I'm an Adept, so I'm pretty powerful at this point. Most levels, as long as I can get decent cover, I can tear through. Problem I have with Collectors is the Scions. Anytime I have to face those guys things get dicy for me. But it's good to know you managed it with an Engineer, since I consider them to be the weakest class in the game. I've still got to do another loyalty mission before the game allows me to go on the suicide mission, so I need to figure out which one I'm willing to spend my time doing.

You're sorted then. I'm jealous of Warp since it hurts everything.

Engineer you need to be very selective with your guns and powers but the drone helps keep people off you for a while though. It's annoying but it's pretty decent once you get the hang of it. My mate had a shot and freaked out that I only had a Pistol, SMG and a Rifle (which I only got on the Collector ship when you picka better weapon. In my case I just got to pick if I wanted Snipers, Shotguns or Rifles unlocked). He's used to Soldiers with all the guns and very little powers.

was playing Capcom Vs SNK 2 and Street Fighter IV Super Championship Hyper Fighting Special Limited Arcade Edition 2.7 tonight. I suck the raisin balls of the Ultimate Warrior in SFIV but actually kicked some ass in one fight in CVSNK.

rifle is my standard weapon. I play a Soldier, so I get to have all the guns, but rarely use shotgun. Pistol is a nice backup, but it's mostly rifle, and occasional sniping if I get the opportunity. I'm quite hands-on with micromanaging my team's biotic powers though, since the AI tends to spunk all the good ones away on easy enemies if you let it go on auto.

Warp and Sigularity are pretty great. I wasn't sure Sigularity would work well in Insanity due to everything having armor or shields, but it still holds most enemies in place for a few valuable seconds, letting you try to work down their protection with a huge Warp. I rarely even use my guns. They're just place fillers while Warp recharges (which only takes about 3 seconds).

well, he is indeed a pain, but...the whole game just...it's just a pile of poo. I appreciate a challenge as much as the next guy. but the difficulty in that game is like going into your first shower in prison and seeing Bison, Zangief, Balrog and Sagat there, all looking somewhat aroused.

Some of the characters in SFIV are broken. Zangeif mostly. Seth as well, but you can cheap him fairly easily. The Super version is a bit more balanced and doesn't have the stupid boy band opening theme.

I didn't find SFIV that hard - although that's partly because it handles so similar to SFII, and I spent far too much of my youth playing that. Yes, Zangief is a bit of a pain, and Seth is irritatingly overpowered (meaning there isn't so much a learning curve as a brick wall), but once I'd got the hang of each character's special moves I didn't find it too difficult to complete. It's certainly my favourite version of the game since SFII - but even then, it's a long way off.

(To be honest, I wish they'd just release a new version of that game with beefed-up graphics and sound. There's no improving on perfection.)

The HD Remix they did for SF2 doesn't qualify Dave?

oooh! before it's too late!

XBox Live's Deal(s) Of The Week is the Robin, and Nightwing bundles for Arkham City, as well as some Bat-Avatar Bat-Items.

Finished my ME2 playthough, finally. Now nothing left to do but wait a couple of weeks for ME3.

Played a bit of Neverdead today. Like the ideas behind it - undying demon hunter who carries on fighting regardless of how many limbs have been removed - unfortunately they aren't all that well executed. Clumsy control, clunky camera and shit dialogue. Damn, all of this has only just cropped up in the first two levels too...

Just saw this on BleeedingCool and thought it was quite amusing (if you've ever played Goldeneye on N64, anyway...)

Oh, I don't know if I ever saw that. I'll seek it out.

Tried the ME3 multiplayer. The changing objectives is a really good idea and certainly keeps fatigue from kidding in. Never once got the omniblade to work but I wasn't clear on if I was doing something wrong or if you needed to level up before you could use it. The slight difference in controls takes some getting used to but generally I liked it. It definitely whet my appetite for the full game and I'll probably keep playing it until the release day.

SFIV mini-tournament this Pancake Eve with friends. I caused a first match upset, but then went mostly downhill from there. Kicked some serious ass in a few rounds, but could never be consistent enough to win another match. Playing random characters didn't help. Still fun was had, and we enjoyed some tense closefought bouts. And pancakes.
