I have absolutely no idea what's going on in that trailer but the description that blwwdingcool posted of the plot makes it sound like Escape from New York but set in space.

Cabin in the Woods looks pretty cool. Is it a remake???
I always confuse the title with Sam Raimi’s Within the Woods, the movie that sowed the seeds from which The Evil Dead burst forth.
Anyway, Lock-Out looks pretty cool in nicely gritty 80s way. And The Cabin in the Woods? Can’t freaking wait!

That one shot of the cabin was totally an Evil Dead quote. Probably not the only one, I expect.
Yeah there were a couple clear Evil Dead references in that trailer.

The gas station seemed very Texas Chainsaw Massacre-y too.

Somewhere between TCM and Crazy Ralph from the early Friday the 13th movies.

In other words; the archetype.Somewhere between TCM and Crazy Ralph from the early Friday the 13th movies.
I have high hopes for this film and how it really plays with the toys of the subgenre.
