I'm trying to work out from the interview whether he's shot *anything* for Season Four.

If not, that's a pretty abrupt disconnect/tangent for the way we left things at the end of the last run.

He's previously said that he drifts in and out of it . . .

Shame. I was hesitant about watching the new season after Mitchell left last season, but with George is gone as well I don't think I'll bother with it. I like Nina well enough, but Annie is really annoying. Will be interesting to see where the show goes from here, casting and story wise, but with the characters I liked gone from the show I don't know how much interest I'll have in it.

Has there been any word on "Becoming Human", the spinoff with the kids in the high school? I liked the "pilot" (basically a web-series which was later edited together) and I wouldn't mind seeing more of that.

I'm sure I read that the Vampire teenager would be coming back to Being Human.

Can't see it being very good without George or Mitchell.

I'll probably watch the first episode or two. Bit more optimistic about it since Kelly from Misfits' brother will be in it more.

Trailer for series 4 will be released this week according to the show's Facebook page.

Also, the Space Channel here in Canada is playing a marathon of the U.S. version today (as the season 2 premiere is tomorrow). Have to say, I'm not a huge fan of how they've "de-fanged" (heh) the characters and basically used most of the same scripts as the U.K. show. There are differences in the stories as you get further in the show, such as Josh's (the U.S. version of George) sister playing a bigger role in the series, a vampire priest and a few other things. Hopefully season 2 will let the show further distinguish itself from the original and come up with some new ideas.

With Annie being the only original left they really should just kill this show off. Misfits season 3 proved you can lose one biggie and survive, but three? I really don't think BH will recover.

This season/series will be much different without Mitchell (and less George) but I'm looking forward to the dynamic the new vampire and Tom have. Frankly, I think they should have let Annie go as well and get a new ghost.

New series/season starts tonight. I'm curious as to how the new characters will fit in, what happened to Neena and just how much/often we'll see George this year.

I never really paid attention to the actors name in season 3, but now I know his name is Michael Socha I can see the family resemblance . . . so, can we have a MisFits crossover?

It was... strange. A lot of it seemed clumsily done, the jokes felt forced and the emotional points didn't have any impact on me. Interesting... but not as good as it used to be.

Oddly, the few seconds of trailers for next week looked far better than anything in this actual episode.

I think I mostly agree with your review, John, except I would give it a lower score.

I wasn't impressed. Wasn't very interested in Tom last season, and that hasn't changed. Killing Nina offscreen just annoyed me, and George's farewell with him in half-wolf mode felt a bit too silly to me.

I'll keep watching, but my hopes for the season aren't high. I think they would have been as well to end it last year.

I think there was a rush to cope with the off-screen problems. If you're going to...... SPOILER PAUSE....................

............lose three of your four main characters in the space of two episodes you have to scramble to sort things out as soon as possible and draw a line under it - I defy anyone to produce an episode that even tries to do that without making it feel awkward and contrived. So I think Toby did what he could and on some levels was successful and on others not.

I really could have done without the repetition of elements - another spectral trio (three lots of unholy trinitys in as many seasons) and a bad vamp cop etc... and THAT's where I found it the most lacking.

I'll stick with the show because I generally like its heart, but it's going to have to move forward and earn that loyalty all over again...

(I DO like that Hal preview above, though, that SHOULD be in the show proper)

I should add: just seen Ep.2 and it's a big improvement...
