Does it bug anyone else when they do figures of Iceman in transparent plastic? I don't think it adds anything, it just means you can see all the interior bits and makes for quite a bland figure, especially when they always insist on doing the 'practically naked' looking designs. I wish they do more of him uniced but in costume or a more modern iced up version where his hair is discernable (or ideally in his Joe Casey era Uncanny costume)/

But doesn't Iceman only cover himself in ice?

not for years. you just said you wanted him in his joe casey era costume...remember in that run where he evaporated? guys covered in ice don't evaporate, i don't care how crazy they are.

I'm pretty sure he was still only covering himself in ice during Casey's run. I think.

EDIT: I looked on Uncanny X-Men.net and they say he started turning his body into ice in the early-mid 90s. Which isn't really how it's shown in later comics, especially when he ices over his clothes as well. Oh well.

Anyway, transparent figures are lame. I had the transparent variant of the Invisible Woman from the Marvel Legends line and it was great until the novelty wore off and you realise you're left with a figure where you can't really make out the sculpt, but can see all the interiors.

That Mongrol figure is all kinds of bad ass! I remember seeing some promo material for it ages ago listing it as "1 of 8". A full set of ABC Warriors would be cool beyond words (especially if they all had the same high production values).

Ahem.

Cheers!

Decided the other day, that I'll definitely be buying this, when it drops in December.

My hope is, that these don't ship late. The Arkham Asylum figures got delayed (I believe a month or so) before they actually made it to the store, so I'm hoping these make it in the 3rd week of December, as planned!

just went and picked up, and just this minute opened: the third FansProject Insecticon - Backfiery (or Kickback, as he will usually be known) and like the 2 before him, he's kind of a ninja. This one has wee stabby knives. And stabby they are. no way these things would pass a Hasbro safety test, even if they weren't small enough to swallow.

I went ahead and nabbed the Michonne figure, from the newly released The Walked Dead figure set. I actually bought it, with the intent of keeping it in the package, and probably reselling it (which I very very rarely, if ever do). But the truth is - while I really like the character in the book - I don't have a great need for the figure. And I was told by my LCS guy, that all the orders of her were cut in half to a lot of distributors, cause' she's in high demand. Furthermore - I assume that when she does get on the show - that her character will be incredibly popular...and I can resell it at that point, for double that I paid ($15 on the nose).

Anyone else find it mildly...unnerving that the sculptor and toy company decided to include a drill with this figure. I know I did...remembering what it was used for.

It's a decent sculpt of a figure overall - but the one I'm really after is the Rick (which is on hold for me, for a future visit).

I find that hard to believe, we got her evenly split with all the other figures.

And our supplier has loads available, we can even order solid cases of individual characters.

Then I keep it :) - not really a loss for me.

This turned up in the post today.

I decapitated him and went to put on a donor head from a spare GI Joe Duke, so it was more MI13 accurate, but the ball joint on Cap is bigger than on Duke (and the head is too small to look right on the body). So he keeps the clashing mask for now.

One of the Silverhawks had a guitar. Bluegrass, I think was the name.

If anyone happens to have any SILVERHAWKS figures that are burdening you, feel free to give them to me!

I still don't like that costume.

That mask doesn't help. And it's a bit similar to Union Jack. But I like it.

Another MU figure arrived today;

The one closed fist and one open hand would be cooler if they were able to touch.

I was looking about the internet, last night, in search of some more glimpses of the Arkham City figures to come, and stumbled across this Nightwing figure, looking to be in the vein of the DC Universe figures available at most retail stores. The body and armor design is faithful to the game, in it's detailing - but I'm struggling with the head-sculpt. His face looks a bit like a horse - very long and narrow. And his facial expression doesn;t do it for me.

While I will definitely buy this figure proudly due to it's level of detail, I am absolutely hoping that we get a Nightwing in the more highly detailed format that many of the others (seen either previously in this thread or at the end of the previous figure-thread) are getting.
