Good morning my fellow Millar Worlders.

I'm putting together a 24 page Horror Anthology book thatI'm calling INHUMAN.
Three stories, nothing supernatural, just loads of twistsand shocks.
I have a couple of artists doing two of the stories andour fellow Millar Worlder Peter Singer has kindly offered to do the cover.(Thanks big Pete J)

I have one story left and I've had an idea.
This could be the worst idea ever, but I wanted to seewhat you guys thought about it.
Ten pages, ten artists all doing one page each to createa visually unique story.
The book itself is quite abstract, so I think this mightwork well.
Not to give too much away about the story, but it's abouta man who is threatening to jump off a building. You can expect shockingrevelations and a few interesting twists.

I'm gonna self-publish this story professionally (not ata kinkos).
So it's gonna see print.
All the artists that contribute a page, I'll happily sendyou a copy of the book as a thank you.
The choice of pages will be based on a first come firstserved basis.
But obviously I need ten artists to commit to doing apage each.

If you wanna sign up or know a little bit more about thestory, send me a PM.

I'm really interested to know what you all (writers andartists) think about this idea.
Good or Crap?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Kind regards as always

Matt

If each artist/page represents the perspective of a different person witnessing the event as it unfolds it sounds pretty cool.

otherwise i would view it as a gimmick or an experiment. gimmicks and experiments have their place in art but could be a detractor to a great story.

This sound interesting. I've written a few horror style stories. I think the last one you posted worked really well. I would buy a copy off you when you get the printed up.

I've always felt horror was a little easier to write in a shorter form than other genres.

Hey Laine,

GIMMICK! A gimmick! How dare you J
The idea wasn't meant to be seen as that.
I've been so busy for the last couple of months cause I gotmarried and went on honeymoon etc,
I hadn't read a comic in ages. This weekend I stared tocatch up.
I read the final issue of Detective comics and in #881 Jockand Francavilla shared the art.
Even though they both have very different and uniquestyles, I thought the book looked amazing and it worked well.
If these two great artists can split a twenty four pagebook, one doing the first 3 pages, then the other doing the next 3 and so on.
I've got a ten page story and if I can get one artist todesign the characters, setting etc.
How exciting would it be to make a book where a group ofartists band together and create a one piece or art.
It could look horrible, but it could look amazing.
I was intrigued to see if I could get it done and to trysomething a little different.
But so far I've had no one interested.

Never mind.

Hey TC,

As always, you are true gent.
For the kind words about my 3 page story, thank you.
That short was the catalyst that started this book.
I can't stop writing horror stories now. J

Thank you for offering to buy a copy of my book when I getit printed too.

I'll put you down for a dozen. ;)

Kind regards as always

Matt

Dude, hope your wedding was a beautiful and unforgettable day! I've been doing some layouts on Mutt. It'll appear at some point! For speed I'm sticking to pencils so that an inker can come in and let me do more stuff. However, if the other stuff I need to do gets done and no inker has been found, I'll then go back and do the inks!
Also, for your ten page horror idea, blatantly count me in! A page won't take me long (he says!) so yeah, just whenever okay?
Cheers
Ray

Me whacking someone!
The only thing i whack is myself, but that's married life for you!

I tell you the man that said the BJs stop when you get married is a bloody liar.
That homeless guy in the part last night was very accommodating! :)

Peter you're a star!

Hey, I think a ten pager with a different artist for each page is a great idea! No reason at all why it wouldn't work.

If you need a spot of lettering done at any point, I could probably squeeze a few pages in for ya.

Hey!

I think that sounds great! I love collaborative work, I think it can really bring out the nuances in every artist's style. I'm totally in if you want me - not sure you've seen my work, but I can email you some if you'd like.

Hi Matt

This sounds like an ace project, would love to offer my services as an artist, I've only just started out so you wont have seen anything I've drawn but got loads of images I could send you. But understand if my sketching isn't what your looking for and you want something a bit more experty. But never the less the project sounds brilliant, can't wait to see the finished product.

Cheers

Hi Matt,

It would be a pleasure to have you do a page, thank you.

sounds like a fun idea! I'd like to take a page if you'd let me!

Max you are a star.

I’d be honored if you would do a page

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say thank you and give you all an update.

I’ll be sending everyone who has offered to do a page a copy of the script to read tomorrow.

I did say first come first served with choices for pages and below is a list of everyone so far and the order of who gets first choice.

1) Ray Favourite

2) Peter Singer

3) Joe Hernandez

4) Timothy Teague

5) Minka Stoyanova

6) Matt Crehan

7) Max Dunbar

I think the easiest way to do is this is have a read through the script and send me a Pm message with your choice of 3 pages you’d like to do.

That way if your first choice of page is already gone there are another two possible.

Again I just wanna say thank you to so far to everyone who has offered and to Ditta too who has been retweeting this page like a mother F*~ker.

Nearly there, only 3 more artists left!

I’m so excited!
