Dany's hair seems to have grown back quickly. Wait, did they actually shave it for the pyre scene at the end of season one? I can't remember now.

The budget for the first season was $50 million apparently. However, they've reported that they're getting $2.5 mil an episode per international country, 50% above what they charge for the Sopranos, and as a result HBO have trebled their revenue in the last 3 years. So I expect Game of Thrones to be the series that gets whatever it wants. It should be their biggest cash cow ever. And I'm surprised there's not more shows like it coming.

No actually. I was talking to one of my friends involved. Same as season 1. Its still a shoe string budget for what they're trying to achieve. I was shocked/ stunned!

I thought they were going to do season 3&4 back to back and all based on book 3.

They've said they'll stop doing the 1 book : 1 season after S2, but I think that's it.

I'd say AMC is in the group too. AMC should probably become an HBO/Showtime--because their original programming is brilliant. They just need better funding.

Jaime's story forwards as he spent all of book 2 imprisoned and Robb's adventures were related third person in book 2 and he's being kept in the spotlight.

and a wee bit of the end of season 1 was from book 2.

Moving the Jamie storyline on, will that effect other storylines been moved on? i.e. RW happening at the end of season 2?

I hope not. I love the endings to A Clash of Kings, and some characters storylines don't need to be sped up and will suffer for it
