Also, any last minute predictions for the Super Bowl? Mine:
AFC (winners)
East: Patriots
North: Ravens
South: Texans
West: Raiders (because I'm a homer and always will be)
Wildcard: Steelers and Jets (I'll never stop believing in the power of Tebow!)
NFC:
East: Giants
North: Green Bay
South: Falcons
West: Seahawks (%@*$ the Niners!)
Wildcard: Lions and Saints
AFC Champions: Ravens
NFC Champions: Lions
Super Bowl Champions: LIONS!!!! (I don't actually think it'll happen, but why go with super vanilla picks like the Packers or Niners or some such nonsense)
Super Bowl I'd most like to see but certainly won't: Raiders vs. Lions (I would say Raiders vs. Niners, but I just don't want SF anywhere near the Super Bowl).

Thank heaven football is back and kickoff starts this Wednesday
with the Cowboys and the Giants.
As for the questions posted, they will all be resolved in due time as
the season goes.
There is some thing in the NFL where if you pick up a veteran player
and they play the first week, you have to pay them big. So, expect
those players to be picked up after the first game around week 2 or
3...
I just want the real refs to get their due so this strike will end.

Chad Johnson... hard knocks did not do him any favors. The way they edited him, it showed him to struggle, and combined with the bad PR, its not looking good for CJ this year.
Young is done. Seriously, this guy doesn't understand it, and has never shown to have understood it. Sure, his win percentage has actually been pretty good, but he's like a worse version of McNabb, and why have a worse version when McNabb is out there to have. And he can't go to a team with a young QB, because teams are deathly afraid of young QBs catching bad habits, so it looks like he's gonna have to wait for injury. Looking around the league, that actually may not be far fetched, because the backups in the league are pitiful (look at the Ravens), and many teams only carry two QBs now.
Chewy................................................................. I think the Seahawks are the most interesting team, due to the Russell Wilson story.

East: Patriots. Not close, the other teams are all flawed in some way.
North: Steelers
South: Titans. I'm tired of picking the Texans.
West: Chiefs. Because Will told me so.
Wildcard: Ravens and Bengals.
NFC:
East: Giants. Should be the Cowboys, but they usually find a way to screw up. Plus Vick is going to get hurt again and the Eagles have nothing else.
North: Green Bay. Best division in football. More than the AFC North.
South: Saints.
West: 49er's.
Wildcard: Bears and Bucs. The Lions will screw up again and the Falcons always seem to underwhelm towards the end of the season. The Bucs are a longshot pick, might be Seattle or the Cowboys.
AFC Champions: Patriots. So long as Brady is there I see no reason not to pick them every year. And no-one is going to stop their tight ends. And now they have a running game.
NFC Champions: Green Bay. Should have been them last year but they were asleep at the wheel.
Superbowl: Who else would I pick? Pats.
I think they're all done. Probably for the best, even 85. I like the guy, but you have to grow up at some point an he didn't want to. You can't do that if you're not a proven success, and he wasn't.I'm wondering if anyone will pick up Young, TO, and the former Ochocinco now that they are all cut and looking for a team.

I'm a Wilson fan, so I think it's pretty awesome that he came in and won that starting QB position. I really hope he can do well.

I was going to pick a Pats/GB Super Bowl, but I feel like I pick that almost every year (or something very similar).

Yep, I'm digging the Seahawks and Wilson. And I agree with you on Young, too.

No, seriously, that's my only answer. ;-)
I thought Vince Young just went to Seattle in a trade for Tavarius Jackson? Did he get cut already???

That was an interesting game Wed. between Dallas and the Giants.
Romo and Ogletree did good.
The games this Sunday should be nice. It is week 1!!!
As for predictions, they are only good on paper. You can't account for
a key injury sidelining players, a pivotal fumble, a fortunate interception
and so on. Last year, the Giants went all the way and everyone had GB
who went 15-1. Who is to say that another 9-7 team will get hot in the playoffs
and make it all the way?
That is why I stay away from predictions because there are too many variables
in the game.

That's what makes them fun, though. As long as you aren't putting money on it, what have you got to lose?

Peyton? 3-4 games, maybe, then we're lookin' at Tebow in the rear-view mirror.
May the Raiders die ignominiously.
How 'bout them Ravens?
New Orleans is sneaky.
Let loose the Kraken!
(Do I seem excited? Does anyone recall my team is the Rockies? Talk about ignominious ...)

Not at all! Think Cray, man, think Cray!
Besides, it's the changing number on the team roster that screws up the Union variable. Every time.
Edit in: Oh Christ Jesus on Your Pogo Stick. The Rockies allowed a tie bottom 8? They finding another way to lose? Lord, a little help here, pretty please. Thank You. Amen.
Edited in to complain about the Rockies. I won't be doing that for long. They may be mathematically eliminated by what? next week?
