From the last thread:

I liked the suggestion on Twitter today of a Madrox TV show with a mutant private eye firm, maybe a bit too similar to Angel for Whedon though.

The main problem is, of course, Madrox is an X-character, so Marvel don't have the rights. I'd still like to see it though.

Ok, here's what I came up for a DD TV-ready costume:

Most of the cloth would be light t-shirt-weight material, matte carbon fiber plates like various sports use.

That could work. Better than the last Daredevil costume made for TV:

I'm still not 100% on the rules there with TV. The X-Men cartoons were made by Marvel and aired on a Viacom channel, no Fox involved. Could be there's a clause for animation or it could be Fox just have film rights.

Back when Mutant X came on TV a decade ago (from Marvel Studios), Fox sued Marvel for breaching the contract, as they had the rights to the X-Men. I think it was eventually settled that Mutant X couldn't use any material from the comics.

For those who are hoping for Agent Coulson to make a return as The Vision - I just saw this great fan sculpt:

I still think it'd be a bit of a weird idea, and I'd rather it was a completely new character - but this is still very well done.

Saw that yesterday - it makes me wonder where this idea of him becoming Vision came from.

Also, while it's a great sculpture, it doesn't actually look like Gregg...

It's been a popular fan theory ever since the Avengers movie came out. Even before it was released (and news of Coulson's death had been leaked), people were claiming there was a post-credits scene in which he was resurrected as the Vision.

Also, while it's a great sculpture, it doesn't actually look like Gregg...

From memory, I thought they'd done a pretty good job. But having compared it against pictures of him, you're right, it's quite 'off' in places (especially around his jaw).

Still looks nice though.

I think it's funny that for all our bitching about constant resurrections in comics, there are so many people hoping that Coulson somehow comes back. I don't really get it. He was a fun character who served his purpose quite well.

Yeah, and I tend to think that bringing him back would cheapen his moment here.

Although they've definitely left themselves plenty of get-outs if they do choose to go in that direction.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Gunn (Super and Slither) is in talks to direct Guardians of the Galaxy: http://www.hollywood...e-galaxy-363928

I've liked Gunn's other work, though this is probably going to trigger many more "Nathan Fillion should definitely play..." discussions.

Not a bad choice. His movies have been solidly enjoyable.

Talented, experienced, quirky and cheap (ish). A perfect Marvel choice.

Can't say I've enjoyed either of his movies - at all - but I think the script is more important than the director with a lot of these things. If Marvel can get a decent movie out of Joe Johnston then I guess they can do the same with this guy.

I'm a bit worried about a guy who works small time working on a huge movie. Strange choice by Marvel, but they know what they're doing.

Didn't people have the same concerns about Wheddon doing The Avengers? That worked out alright in the end, didn't it?

I didn't have that concern. Josh had decades of experience. From what i can tell this guy is just starting out. There's loads of CGI with Guardians but I don't know if he has any experience with Chi. It's the difference between Kick Ass and Avengers.

there were some visual effects in Super at least. I'm now imagining Rocket as being like Ellen Page's Boltie.

edit: sort of like Boltie. Less-rapey, probably.
