May the road rise to meet you!
Friday - Take my sister to Whole Foods after work. She rarely gets a chance to go there so I said I would take her.
Saturday - No sure. Reading comics probably unless a better off comes.
Sunday - Grocery shopping.

Friday - Train to London.
Talk on John Cage at the Royal College of Music http://www.bbc.co.uk...august-17/14390
Guided-walk-with-music around Kensington http://www.bbc.co.uk...august-17/14524
John Cage Centenary Celebration at the Albert Hall http://www.bbc.co.uk...august-17/14218
I think it's brilliant that you can get around six hours of top-class live music and music-related stuff in the most prestigious concert hall in the UK all for a £5 ticket, subsidised by the BBC. It makes me proud to be British
Saturday morning - not sure, probably one of the big museums (because they're free
). Afternoon/evening - party with the Legion of Super-Heroes fan club
Sunday - Return home

Friday - My friend is in from Washington DC. She's a Canadian who does something linguistics-related at a university down there. I can't remember exactly. Anyways we're gonna do a dinner and drinks night and do some catching up. She is in town under some unfortunate circumstances as her grandpa has fallen ill. It will still be nice to see her though.
Caturday - Mostly packing. Might relax and watch a movie at night or maybe go to a movie.
Sunday - Highlight of my day is yoga at noon. I
yoga. More packing, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping. Pretty tame weekend.

My mum and sister are through in the city today. going to go and see them however their visiting time means mother has come through to late for lunch yet too early for dinner. What an inconvenience.
Weight training on Saturday around at my mates. He'd talked about getting a medicine ball... some of the routines he's described sound very painful,

This weekend is Hari Raya Aidilfitri, better known as Eid Mubarak (no relation to Hosni) in the rest of the world. The end of Ramadan, read Sandman if you don't know what that is.
That means I have a 4 day weekend, back in work on Wednesday. Hooray!
My daughter's kindergarten had a party, although she doesn't look to happy about it (she's the one in the pink polka dots)

HOLIDAY!
We are off to a fishing lodge for a week. Leaving in the morning, it is not far really about 40 miles up the A1 but it is a week away from home. It is going to be our first real time away with Logan so we'll see how it goes!

I'm only bloody having to bloody work all bloody weekend now! Volunteered for the Saturday, because I was pretty shattered at the start of the week, and it would give me a day off (Thursday, in this case) and also to help out because I know they were stuck for someone to do the Sat evening shift.
Got "politely requested" today to do Sunday as well. With day off on Monday. By the time I'd finished today I was knackered and thinking "okay, only one more day then you get a rest" and then I remembered. Fuck!

i like that little boy's style. it looks like he's wearing pyjamas to school which is both a lazy and bold move that has my full support.

Arrived at the cabin, lovely view of one of the lakes from the porch. Went for a walk and noticed lots of fish feeding of the surface so got the rod set up to surface fish.
After about half hour I hooked a nice sized crucian carp, good start to the week, hope for more over the upcoming week.
Once we have the wifi sorted I'll get some location pictures up.

I am doing interesting and sensational things.
I am merely not going to tell you lot about them.

Don't know what happened to Arjan's Thread for Peace, but those pics would have been perfect for it, Mike.
That one contrail over the military ship looks like you captured a meteor.Cool.
Gotta get my camera cleaned out and back in action. Wouldja believe in some places, the leaves are already threatening to shift into autumn barrage? We've had the hottest summer on record. (So has much of the continental US - we're,sadly, not special.) However, the turn of leaves and the behavior of the animals (as hot as it is, a very heavy winter coat has been found on several species, specifically bear, rabbit, elk and prairie dog) indicates, we may be in for a long-due heavy winter. 2003 and 2007 were immense, 2003 breaking snow records in the city. One street I could see straight down from the living room at the time was literally not cleared of snice (snow and ice, which is not nice) until July. At one point the mid-street drift was some 16-17 feet. It feels a lot like that.
Such thoughts evocative pictures inspire.
