So, recently I’ve been building a small network of friends that - like me - dabble in writing. This has been a really nice experience and has helped me get new friends as well as get more and more into the craft. One of the most helpful things about such a network has been critiquing. Not just people critiquing my work, mind you, but also my critiquing other people’s work. It sort of got me thinking that maybe it was time to expand this idea!

What I’m proposing is that any writer who might be interested either post their script/works/ideas here or their email so we can make a mailing list. The idea would be that whatever you want critiqued, you send to the group via email, and then each member can critique in they own way and time or if they feel like it at all. The point being of course that if you sign up here, it is expected that you critique at least some of the things you receive. I’ve heard tell that a lot of writers form groups where they meet in person and exchange their critique, but as I live in Denmark, I thought I have a better chance of communicating you via mail.

I know that there might be some concerns regarding theft of the intellectual property. Personally, I’m a trusting person and I don’t really fear people stealing my ideas. I’ve also been told that your ideas are sort of safe, so long as you show them to a lot of people (which you basically do if you send it out to a load of people) but if there is someone on the forum who has any knowledge of a good way to secure the IP or to give their five cents regarding the idea, feel free to post!

Finally, my mail is the.destineer@gmail.com

Hope to hear from some budding writers!

Welcome Taj!

Bovvy, if you have a script then feel free to send it! The plot seems cool and I’d love to see it fleshed out!

Hey, anyone be up for reading a 36 page script for an ongoing series? It's called "The Perfectors" and it could best be described as what would happen if The Avengers were run by the G.W. Bush Administration.

I exclude O.S. from this since he's already read it.

You guys are killing me. I'd love to be a part of this but I just don't have the time to spare.

The idea is to keep the whole thing casual, James! If you sign up, you can just critique when you have the time and I'd be willing to read some of your stuff straight off the bat! Posted Image

Yeah James, you really helped me out during the brief period where you were reading my work for the small comics company you worked for. I'd like to return the favour at some point.

Besides, you could specify that you only have time to read things of a certain length. Lots of us have short stuff that needs critiquing.

Argh, all you need is some sad puppies... Still mulling it over, I'll try and decide soon.
