no sign of Bulkhead or Starscream hereabouts either. Am hoping we'll get wave 3 of Prime Deluxes here soon, as I'd quite like a Hot Shot. Sadly, even with the DIY nature of the Japanese releases, I'm liking the look of them much more than the Hasbro ones for the majority of the figures. Breakdown not getting a US (and thus UK/Europe) release is quite sucky.

Got my Classics Rodimus and KO City Commander/Ultra Magnus yesterday, and they're both quite cool. The knock-off City Commander armour doesn't fit all that well on the knock-off Classics Ultra Magnus, at least on the arms, but I'm giving the thing a chance to grow on me, since it only cost a 3rd of the price of an official kit, and that's without having to find a UM toy to wear it. The legs are actually fine, as is the chest piece and waist, its mostly just the shoulders and gloves that are a bit wobbly. I might yet work around that in some way. Rodimus looks so much better in the original colours rather than the repaint that they put out in the pack with Cyclonus. Haven't swapped them out in the Protector armour yet, but will enjoy having one that matches a bit more.

Ratchet, Arcee, Bulkhead and Starscream.

Hmm, I've not seen any of those around. (though I've not been looking often).

saw Arcee and Ratchet in Asda first of all, they popped up in Tesco not long after. Ratchet is pretty cool. The knives are rubbery as a gummy bear but he looks pretty decent and can hold the weapons like on the show. Transformation isn't bad either and he's got loads of articulation.

HLJ for japanese toys. Big Bad Toystore can be good for American ones.

Picked up this set of Preacher 3 1/2 inch PVC figures on a trip to the comicshop. All boxed up and sealed... until I got them home.

Some pretty nice detail on a few of them. Arseface, Gran'ma and Herr Starr (minus ear and plus bellend carving) stand out.

Saint of Killers however... well, he doesn't have the look of someone who fought their way out of Hell...

Apparently they are re-releasing a figure of "woody" from Toy Story that features a face option that is rather. . . open to interpretation. It's worth following this link and clicking through their gallery to see some hilarious results people got out of it.

I may have to buy that, I've got a Battle Angel Alita toy that scales well with Revoltechs (she's currently fighting my RT Yotsuba)

the dark energon line being an exclusive to US based internet retailer Big Bat Toy Store was something of a clue that it wouldn't be in shops here.

Likewise (I think) G2 Bruticus. I'd already heard that they cancelled Toys R Us pre-orders of MP Thundercracker, and assumed we'd get Prime, in time for Christmas.

The First Editions are mostly better toys. Not surprising they're not being released though.

Prime Voyagers Wave 2...out already? Fng Where? Ach, I'm no bothered anyway, I only really want Thundertron when he comes out, and maybe Skyquake if they do him in more G1 colours. Otherwise I'll wait for the FOC Voyagers (Soundwave and Blaster with opening chests and mini-dudes, and Grimlock)

I'd ask the same about Wave 3 of Deluxes (never mind Wave 5) but Forbidden Planet Edinburgh had the UK/Europe carded versions of these guys on Saturday. I got Vehicon.

Sad for no Gen Springer, Wheelie (and sort of sad for the other guys in that wave) so it looks like I'll have to order them online to add to my TFTM cast. More sadly, Wheelie is 1 per case, so nowhere seems to be selling him separately, only way to get him is with Springer, Swerve and Cliffjumper as well. I don't mind the 2 red guys, but...it's a lot to pay at once.

When is Generations/FOC Wave 1 in shops, never mind Wave 2?

grrr. Never mind, I got the repaints of WFC Optimus and Bumblebee from the 3 pack with purple Megatron on their way (with a couple of TFs I don't want/need, and the wee Matrix accessory) and the Kabaya Fortress Maximus kit coming as soon as Kapow Toys get it in stock.

Generations wave 1 is out a week tomorrow! I'm going on the hunt the day after (to give them time to rescue shelves from stock rooms), though whether I'll actually have the money for any is another question entirely.

You realise it's just Fat Prime and Eggshell Jazz, right?

okay, okay, it's possible there might be a Shockwave out with them too. Possible. Unlikely though.
