I showed the wolverine one to my wife, she bought a print for Logan's nursery!

If you say "Don't Leave Home Without It" you'll get banned faster than you can say "Joel Schumacher".

Just sayin'

No, I'm an immigrant. I've lived here over half my life but never picked up the accent.

Plus, I live south of the river so technically couldn't be a Geordie anyway.

That's a relief - I thought I was going to have to adjust my inner voice for you. To me you sound somewhere between Miles Jupp and David Mitchell, so changing your voice to Jimmy Nail would have been quite a shift!

Where did you migrate from?

People tell me they can't place where I'm from. Other people tell me they can hear it in certain words, but that's only after they know where I was born. But they also tell me I haven't "gone Geordie". So I don't really know what I sound like now Posted Image

My mother always tried to make us talk proper, so maybe it really is posh Brummie :D

I thnk it can be the case when you move around you hit neutral. My mother was born in Hackney, raised in Essex, Birmingham and Anglesey and then moved to South Wales. She has no recognisable accent, rather than lurching from Frank Butcher to Rhys Ifans to Gladys Pugh it just sits in the middle. I had a girlfriend once that was raised in Birmingham, York and San Diego and she was the same.

I feel it happening to me too after 9 years here.
