Waking up.

Not being woken up, mind.

Just plain ol' waking up.

"On a regular basis" is good.

After weeks of chaos, the Good Neighbors getting their extended family together for a picnic/barbeque and able to use the shared property in peace. Seeing them have a great time (for a change!) was delightful.

I was kind of scared to get on the airplane yesterday because of the terrible weather conditions, but was cheered up by the enthusiasm of a small kid that couldn't wait to get on the plane.

Where were you flying to? I love flying... that push of acceleration when they release the brakes on take-off never ceases to make me smile like a little kid.

I'll be flying for the first time in less than two weeks time. I'm nervous about boarding the metal tube of death but kind of excited about it too.

Where you flying to?

I find actually being on the plane a relaxing break from worrying about catching flights and getting through customs and the like.

Las Vegas and San Francisco. Think we're taking something like 6 flights in total over the two weeks.

Edit: Yeah, 6.

The security check is always annoying and confusing...What do I actually have to put in the little tray? And I always get confused about what clothing items to take off... I´m going to have to take off my belt now? Do you want me to take off my shoes now as well? Shall I just get nude to make it absolutely clear I pose no harm to anyone on the plane whatsoever?

Prague's airport is great btw, one of the nicest I've ever been. I've been there before, but there have been major renovations and they built a new terminal. It was all clean and spiffy looking, there was a supermarket so you could buy some cheap food instead of paying 12 euros for a sandwich, and they had a free art exhibition and free cinema!

Domestic flights aren't so bad. Getting into the US in the first place is a pain though, going through immigration and all that crap.

Also, McCarran airport in Las Vegas is hilarious. It's the only airport I've ever been in where they have gold chandaliers in the arrivals lounge.

Are you flying into Vegas at night or day? It's great flying in at night... miles and miles of empty desert, then suddenly seeing the lights of Vegas is quite an experience.
