Happy Canada Day to what few Canadians there seem to be on this board (sorry Jefferson, you only wish you were Canadian). I raise my Tim Horton’s Iced Cap to you!

Friday: Volunteering to face paint, even though I posses no artistic skills whatsoever. I predict there will be a lot of peace signs and hearts.

Saturday: Making a strawberry shortcake.

Sunday: My friend’s boyfriend of 9 years recently broke up with her so she’s having a ‘No Boys Allowed’ pool party for Canada Day. This means I can crack out my patriotic bikini without having to mask my shyness and poor body image with fistfuls of jello shots first. Woo!

So what are you guys up to?

Stephanie is my favorite Canadian. Diana Krall is #2.

I'm going to relax and do as little as possible this weekend.

I'm my favourite Canadian but Stephanie is pretty rad too.

Lots going on this weekend. BBQ's, Canada Day celebrations, beers, kettlebells, yoga and hopefully gonna see Brave at the theatre. Looking forward to a nice long weekend.

At 3 o'clock I'm going to have a couple of drinks out at the patio for the pub, then I'm going to see a matinee of Ted, and then I'm meeting my wife after she gets out of work and we're going to the beach for dinner/sunset with some friends. If anyone wants to come with, just PM me.

Thank you, Canada, for giving us The Weakerthans, David Cronenberg, Bif Naked, Men Without Hats, Rush, Devin Townsend, The Immonens, Vegan Poutine, the Montreal Metal and Techno scene, Atom Egoyan, Voivod, Moosehead Lager, The Tragically Hip, Skinny Puppy, Matthew Good and, of course, Stephanie!

Weekend? What weekend? It's mostly work work work for me but in a fun way so that's ok. Maybe a short trip to the beach on Sunday, depending on the weather which has been pretty fucking terrible for weeks now so I'm not holding my breath.

I wasn't going to comment in this thread for political reasons. However, a great many great things over the years have come to my attention that have originated in Canada.

I like Canada because they think they have baseball teams. :D :D :D

Yes, Stephanie, you may ignore your poor self-image and get happily wrecked on jello shots.
Now, you sez "No Boys Allowed". What about us creepy old guys? Is that an automatic invite? :O

In for a rough w/e myself. Being on specific medications, I have but a small window to get refills. So, no response from Doc's office Tues, Wed, or Thurs; and call back today sez doc is out of town until Monday. So have 3 tabs for a period when I should have 27. (No, I ain't blinkin' kidding.) There is always a problem, and I'm sicker of dealing with it than the condition itself. Doc should remember I know where he lives and have his private cell number...

Most of my weekend will consist of waiting for the occasional cool breeze.

My Life: FOR SALE! CHEAP!

Yeah, I said it.

I laughed several times but overall I did not like it. It was weirdly too convential in a lot of ways. Like a standard, kind of boring bromance, only one of the characters was a teddy bear.

I did like it better than any episode of Family Guy that I've seen.
