i thought it was a vision of her taking over the iron throne, hence what i saw to be ash, and the holes in the ceiling were perhaps from her dragons. could have been snow though.

Winter is coming.

I thought it was pretty clearly snow, given that winter is coming and all of that.

So did I but it's Dany's vision and, as Stephanie points out; dragons.

Part of the problem is that, if its snow, its film/TV snow, and that doubles equally well for ash.

i think they both look cool, the wights especially.

why didn't that white walker kill sam when he saw him?

Think it was related to the find the previous week and Sam has the horn . . . pure speculation, but there's reference in the books to magical horns . . . maybe the one they found (a departure from the book, not based on spoilers) was the magical horn for making White Walkers ignore you . . . may be something else, but that would be bordering on Season 3 spoiler territory . . .

I found HBOs guide (plus its appendix) a great way to expand one's understanding of this universe WITHOUT spoiling anything at all:

http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/season2/#!/guide/houses/

That said, I regret going to Youtube for behind the scenes and interviews, a few assholes are peppering the comment sections with spoilers on what the books bring next. Careful with the comments.

Some footage from last weekends London Film and ComicCon

Liked Dance's answer to probably the most asked question . . .
"Just how brilliant is Maisie Williams?"
"She's a pain in the arse".

I thought it was clearly snow because we saw falling ash in the winterfell scene with Bran and it looked different.

Diana Rigg as Olena is going to rock hard!

Sangster was brilliant as young Macca in Nowhere Boy, and Ellie Kendrick looks pretty much like my mind's eye's version of Meera. Can't wait to see who'll play Edmure (Nathan Fillion is who I always see when I read his scenes).

Paul Kaye is an odd one. Playing Thoros of Myr, apparently.

At least they got a Dame for the Queen of Thorns . . . no harm to Diana Rigg but she probably wasn't top of that Dame list . . . Dame Judy?, no . . . Dame Helen?, no . . .Dame Diana? could be . . .
Probably the main thing I've seen Sangster in was Doctor Who and he was fantastic, still not clear in how he lost the Tintin role after being announced . . .
Bring on Season 3 . . .

Some good casting there just based on looks alone (from that little video in the casting link). I hate that season 3 is still 9 months away...

Interesting casting choice for Missandei,
Spoiler

So, Berric has been recast, then? Not complaining, as Richard Dormer ought to do wonders with the role.

I saw Paul Kaye in Matilda when we were in London a few months back. While he was very good I'm gonna find it very hard to picture Thoros without him singing "All I know I learned from Telly"
