Meanwhile,

After the kerfuffle, HBO pulled the episode from its streaming service HBO GO, as well as iTunes, and shipments of the first season DVD were stopped.

Now the episode is back online, offering a look at the new, not scandalous prop head.

OK, I haven't caught up, but I'm just quickly going to state that:

1. This f#cking show rules. How awesome is television today? And Breaking Bad is coming back 'round the corner!

2. The dwarf is the awesomest character of them all, the guy simply never loses. I love him, baddie as he is technically.

3. I liked Drogo, his impassioned speech when he decided to help his wife made the hair in my neck stand. Sad loss.

4. That little shit of Joffrey better die a horrible death, his mother right besides him.

5. I cannot see how more shit can be mounted on the Starks. I miss Eddard...

6. If anyone seems to be lining up their affairs to be on the seat by end of Season 2 is still the Lannisters. They'll be at each others throats, but there.

Alright, Season 2, episode 4, here we go.

I don't necessairly think Tyrion is a bad guy. Sure, he's on the Lannisters' side, but he's in conflict with Cersei and Joffrey at least as much as he is with the Starks...

And it seems like he's actively trying to stop Joffrey's reign. Whereas his conflicts with the Starks mainly came from Catelyn abducting him.

Well, I don't think he's a "bad guy" at all. However, if you define bad guy" as "those in opposition to the Starks," he does have family loyalty, in a sense. He is actively against Joff and his sister, and doesn't much care for his father, but he takes pride in being a Lannister, and doesn't seem the type that would allow the Starks to "win", even if he would be willing to kick his sister and nephew over a castle wall.

One of the big strengths of Game of Thrones is that you have sympathetic (or relatively sympathetic) characters in most factions in the War. Tyrion's not on the same side as the Starks, but he's certainly a protagonist.

i was googling around to find some different perspectives on the use of sexuality in the show, and found a bit of an interview with the woman who plays osha.

Even if you don’t watch Game of Thrones, you’ve probably heard talk about the extensive showcasing of the female body. There has been full frontal male nudity on a few occasions but women on the show are naked, or partially naked, a great deal.

Tena spoke with The Independant about a scene from the second season of the show [SPOILERS] in which she strips completely naked, in order to distract Theon Greyjoy for a time, and allow herself and the children of Winterfell to escape. Now, the need for this particular scene has been argued by fans but Tena was fine with it.

“I don’t give a f–k about nakedness,” she said. “As an actor, [...] obviously if it calls for it. You’re not just going to get naked otherwise that’s just basically doing porn. But if it calls for it, I really think you should get over yourself.”

Then she told them she asked the creators about wearing a pubic wig (merkin) for the scene or growing out her natural hair. In all honesty, I had no idea what that area looked like on the show because I was too busy averting my eyes after seeing Tonks naked. But here’s what Tena had to say:
“I was a bit upset about the fact that they showed my minge without hair because I think my character would have a massive bush,” she said. “I would have muff, like a muff coming down the thighs.”

Gotta say, I 100% agree with her. Why would a wildling woman (who doesn’t even brush her hair), have her crotch area in a manicured state? Regardless, Tena was more concerned with the fact that she and other women are constantly asked to remove clothing for a role but men are rarely asked to.

“There’s that in everything in the world. I think it’s really unfair, every actor, any actress has had her t-ts out. Every single actress I know,” she said. “Blokes it’s like, let’s see some @#$!. Do you know what I mean? Let’s make it more even.”

Tyrion's definitely against the Starks but also against some of his own family.

He wants the Lannister family to win, but he's not sorry if his father, sister and nephew all lose to some degree. That degree though, is the point at which it affects him.

There needs to be a Lannister on the Iron Throne for him to feel reasonably safe. Preferably a sane Lannister though.

She was interviewed for the Thronecast and basically said the same thing . . . think I linked to it a couple of threads ago . . .

In all fairness, Alfie Allen has gone full-frontal on the show, as have several other minor male characters, which is a degree of exposure higher, when compared with female full-frontal nudity. Then again, it may be a Spartacus-type deal, where CGI/prosthetics are available for performers with issues about going all out.

They have CGI cocks? Do we have evidence? or was it a garden hose tacked on like Long Dong Silver?

We probably need some photo evidence, for research purposes of course.

Who's got fake peeners in Spartacus? In all the scenes I've seen they all look real. And I've studied them very closely.

Having not read the books, am I correct in assuming that Jamie Lannister becomes some sort of anti-hero?

I would totally do a CGI on one of those shows, just for the fun of it. Get a real knee-knocker swinging around. Spin too fast and knock someone out.

Hodor's baby's arm was a prosthetic and Natalia spoke on the Thronecast about her and the make up woman playing with it (not while it was being worn)
