i loved the cabin in the woods, and i would love to see a tv series in which every episode has different creatures from horror films killing off people in scenarios set up by the control room.
cabin in the woods should be a tv series

It would defeat the object of the film though...

It would be taking "monster of the week" a bit too far.

i was thinking just an 8 ep series so you can see other situations and more than just a family of murderous hillbilly zombies because there is no way they can make a sequel

I think it's possible we'll see sequels, but probably direct to DVD/pay-per-view ones.
The ending of the film should rule that out but people gotta earn a living.

Should I not be reading this thread, having not seen the film yet?

i think this would actually be a good idea
the film, like watchmen, is it's own beast and will live on that way
the concept itself could be developed into a tv run, just like another of whedon's previous movies which turned out fairly successful

They could easily do prequels. I do think that there's room for expansion on the concept of the organization itself, rather than the monsters/cabin the woods.
