This weekend thread is merely an excuse to post this again:
And to repost this:
Also, apparently, the funky chicken is a real thing.
this weekend I'm going to the school's senior prom. Should be fun as this year group have been a smashing bunch of kids and it'll be good to give them a decent send off. It'll also give me an opportunity to test drive my resized kilt before my wedding, which is now less than a month away - EEK!
A weekend thread for doing the funky chicken

I've been fighting off a cold all week and it has me run down. I'll be doing a lot of resting this weekend.

Y'know, Todd, I've had this absurd band of congestion all week, like a lei within me lungs - might I wax poetic. I wish it would go away.
Right now I've got so many chores and responsibilities that they should keep me busy for weeks. But - they're the same tasks that I've been chipping at. So I think I'm going to do something I have not been able to do since moving to Colorado - put some gas in the cat and just go screw around for a while.
Or I could put in $15 of gas and go see the Avengers. Or Prometheus. Or ten and see both. Except my eyes are all messed up and it would be a bit of a waste. See what I do? I sit and perseverate. Probably should just go play music, since, for once, I can leave when I'm tired and not depend on a ride. Or I've got all my budy's DVDs here that need cleaning, cataloging and crating. Probably have some needed to watch - District 9 at least/ Ah, decisions! Decisions!

Seeing a band tonight in York. My favourite thing in the whole world
(Seeing bands, that is, not going to York. Though I like York too.)

After five days of having no access to the interwebs, I'm finally back home. Great vacation, lots of hiking in National Parks (and Forests and Monuments), and of course lots of good eating and microbrews.
But it's always good to come home.
And to those of you to whom this applies, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!
