I defended Dawkins a while ago, in some religion thread, but he really is an asshole. He's brilliant, and atheism is awesome, but he still is an asshole.

Oh I know something I have to retract:

An awesome asshole.

To get back to what Bruce said very early in the thread:
I have said some things that did not come out right in some
threads because I rushed it. I will give more thought from
now on.
On a side note: Does anyone here feel better for getting
the chance now to clear the air or take back certain things?

After getting to know him I'd say he's a charming man.
Anyone who hugs me is getting their ass grabbed.
I better!

I do kind of wish sometimes that I could jettison this identity and pick up another though, because for whatever reason some people seem to believe that whatever I say MUST be wrong, and immediately begin their counterattack without even considering that I might have a point.
People agree with you a lot of the time, I did in the electronic gadgets thread yesterday, your post in the Africa thread about news media was interesting. You just have a habit of needing to get the last word and continuing on and on when they don't. Learn to let it go sometimes and life will be easier.
It would happen the same if you logged on as Noddy.

I apologise to Christian for my national stereotyping and always accusing him of having a sex dungeon or being a Hasselhoff fan because of the weird Germans on Eurotrash.
Meanwhile, here's a pic of the Romeo Cleaners:
Uh... thanks? I guess?
I, on the other hand, apologise for not inviting any of you into my sex dungeon yet. What can I say, there's a lot of demand.
Well thanks for that as well, but consider this, perhaps the times I'm "not being agreeable," I am being agreeable, and you lot just aren't agreeing with me.
See, this is another one of those moments were you just should take the good and let go.

/Second.
I do kind of wish sometimes that I could jettison this identity and pick up another though, because for whatever reason some people seem to believe that whatever I say MUST be wrong, and immediately begin their counterattack without even considering that I might have a point. It's really disheartening, especially when I'm pretty much already right. I feel like if I posted in a thread that it was a sunny day out I'd get a half-dozen rebuttals, not a few of them calling me an idiot.
I'd say the fact that you're this obsessed with being "right" is part of what brings that response down on you.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't see Gar responded to this and said basically the same thing a few posts earlier. I retract this post.

That's not a retraction, that's just an acknowledgement of redunancy!

/Sigh. Sometimes I think about jettisoning this identity and starting a new one. Has "MyLittlePony877" been taken?
