White food. All the food as white as possible. Not whole wheat,Wonder Bread. Rice. Got this one? For or against?
One food at a time. Now, I'm gonna go all Freudian at this point and point at parents who feed us out of jars. One jar at a time. One food at a time. Whether we change and let foods slosh or really admire the person who invented heavy cardboard disposable compartmentalized food trays we do trend one way or another.
Green vegetables. Broccoli and Brussels sprouts seem to get extreme like/dislike reactions. Cauliflower and eggplant next level, and so forth. I'd eat a lot more vegetables if somebody else cooked them in a tasty manner. Washed the dishes, too.
Phreeks. I know some folks here have mentioned having some true phreeks from time to time. Wonder how many, and just how - given the word phreek - would define themselves as having a true phreek. I'm kinda waiting on this one, as I think whichever ones I have are quietly held behind some ego defense mechanism.
Left to my own devices it's mostly one-item-at-a-time because that's the way I cook. Some are mixed or complex, but fajitas are one item and burritos are a different item and a banana is one item. A sandwich is one item. So I'm not a Separator, more of a Convenienceist.
You?

Speaking of bread, that's one thing the British have never figured out. You'd think with globalisation and everything, they'd catch on at some point but nope. No proper bread in Britain.
I don't think there's any food I don't like really. I do have one pet peeve, I suppose: I do not order salad (as the main course) at restaurants. I don't know, it always just seems like such a waste. I can throw salad stuff together and put oil and vinegar on it well enough on my own, it's not exactly hard, and they seem so expensive compared to other foods you order (considering that salads cost next to nothing to buy). Especially given that you don't feel like you've really eaten anything afterwards.

If you think Britain isn't good then don't come out here. Getting anything beyond sliced white is a success.

Generally, anything cold that should be hot. I love tomato soup for instance, but even the smell of cold tomato soup makes me gag.
What about tomato juice?

Chicken porridge.

That's meant to be cold. I'm with Steve entirely on the hot and cold bit, there used to be a sandwich shop near my old work and they heated up the lettuce, I nearly cried.

It doesn't hold true for all foods - I'll eat cold chicken.

Agreed. Some of my friends purposely buy pizzas too large to finish so they can eat the leftovers cold the next morning. It's disgusting.. And you people who like cold pizza are freaks.
I can't stand baked beans, to the point that I genuinely nearly have a phobia of them. Can't even stand being near them.

I hate strawberries. Not because I don't like the taste (it's ok) but their texture feels so gross in my mouth it makes me wanna hurl. Like chewing on some hairy bug. Pineapple is horrible as well for similar reasons.
wowza. i got some really gross images when i googled "hairy strawberry."

Cold fried chicken is a tricky thing. I didn't used to like it at all, but then someone brought some on a picnic and it was good. It depends on how it's made though, I like cold KFC original, and there's a local place that I like theirs' cold, but most places I don't like as much cold. I think "original recipe" style is better than "crispy" style cold.
