The new season starts tonight...

I know little about the season arc, but
I hope this season delivers and entertains.

I get the feeling that, like the pictures above
it will turn into a Bill and Eric buddy show with
Sookie and others at the side.

At any rate, it starts tonight.

I haven't enjoyed almost any of the last few seasons, but I'll probably still do what I always do and marathon the season once it finishes.

Something is supposed to happen to her this season? I was really hoping to never see that character again after the end of last season (and assuming I wouldn't have to considering the finale). I liked her well enough in the beginning, but of the course of things I just found her irritating as hell.

I like Rutina Wesley a lot but that whole subplot with the vampire who was infatuated with her (and did he end up raping her?) really put me off the show. In fact, remembering that, and how she didn't even get to finish him off (it was Jason, wasn't it?), kinda makes me not want to go further with this show.

Count me in with the Tara haters...I can only take her in small doses.She was cool in the first season, but then she just became angry and that got old real fast.
Her character needed something drastic, so this new twist should help a little.

I hate all the subplots on this show. My favorite bits are the Vampire League stuff, getting into the histories of the vamps, and the overall vamp mythology. I could care less about the werewolves, shape shifters, and that godawful witch plot from last year.

I like the current Eric/Bill plot.

The premiere was pretty awesome, and easily better than anything in season 4. Love Eric and Bill as partners, and while I'm still undecided on vampire Tara, Lafayette dealing with his grief looks like a potentially great storyline, especially if Jesus is not quite gone (come on, there's gotta be at least a cameo from Kevin Alejandro as ghost Obi Wan Jesus).

I wouldn't say that I hate the subplots, because I like a lot of the supporting characters quite a bit. I'm hoping that Tara's story/character is worthwhile this season.

I think it's pretty clear that the authority is going to be the big bad. Them and King Russell.

I thought the first episode was decent. There was plenty that I thought was dumb but enough that looked interesting that I'll give it a chance. With Ball nolonger show running hopefully it won't go off the rails as badly as past seasons.

I was going to stop watching this, but my wife kept on going and my Sunday plans fell through, so I watched the premier with her. Loved it. Looking forward to following the Eric and Bill show.

I don't want to be a downer, posting nothing but negative
comments on the show, but I just don't like what they have
done with Tara so far. I feel Tara should have been healed
by the vampire blood but that is just me.

Still on the other hand, I give the writers credit for not being
afraid to take chances. I will check out the season and see
where they go with Tara.

Why don't they give that guy whose head was messed up
in Iraq the vampire blood?

I still get the feeling that it will be a Bill and Eric bromance
show and I have mixed feelings about that.

I'd love to see a Bill/Eric romance show, I like both of them better than I do Sookie. I think I'm also going to be okay with vampire Tara, at least she'll be able to kick some ass and not struggle to survive by the skin of her teeth. Gay vampire preacher guy should be fun, too.
