Euro 2012 kicks off this weekend. I don't give a damn about football and I'm not interested unless something like this happens:

It's not going to happen is it? Oh well, pointless watching then.

This weekend Jill and I are off to Glasgow for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show tour. Shall fill in the day on Saturday in the city, perhaps spend some time in the Kelvingrove museum. Bit of work to do for school when we get back on the Sunday (BOOOO!).

For the first time during one of these tournaments I won't be surrounded by rabid footie fans, so I wonder if I can be bothered to muster any interest this time round.

I have no particular plans this weekend, but if we get a brief glimpse of the sun tomorrow in between the gale force winds and driving rain, I may actually take a trip into town and buy some garden furniture.

My biggest plan this weekend is to see Prometheus. Kaleb has a soccer tournament all weekend. If it gets rained out tomorrow I'll be seeing a matinee, otherwise won't see it until Sunday. Damns. I'm super tempted to skip work this aft and go see it.

If it ever stops raining here I plan to wash my car too. Haven't been able to for over two weeks now because it rains every 2nd or 3rd day.

hehehe You would think but sadly no. It's very dirty here. My white car is brown right now. It only looks clean while it's pouring. Everytime it stops it's brown.Posted Image

Solution... buy a brown car?

Heh, being flippant of course. Jill has only had her new car for a week and she's itching to give it a wash already. I guess it's just a car owners "thing".

That'll wear off pretty quickly.

Then she'll expect you to do it. ;)

I found out that parking my car too close to the sproklers covers the car with dirty water spots. Colorado is weird as that many windshields are dinged or cracked, and many donot do more than apply the windshield washer. I like clean glass. Do not like waster spots. Must buy a squeegee.

Plans are tomorrow helping move friend's stuff into storage. It's going to be raging hot. I'm, of course, restricted to moving minimal stuff - but should be able to move the two PCs and three guuitars into car, along with some books. We, The Friends, all feel awful about what happened and that responsibility for moving the stuff fell on us. (Friend shot a red light on parole, drunk, no lcense etcetera, and we shall not be seeing him for a while.) Also concerned with "Service Engine Soon" light being on. Must put some gaffer's tape over it. (Joke; the light is on due to a single plug being eccentric, which will be replaced soon.) Still, a fifty-mile drive each way; two passing through Gilcrest. They make bullshit in Gilcrest. Really. It's a fertilizer town. Bullshit, chickenshit, llamashit, yakshit, gnushit, batshit - you want some shit, ya go to Gilcrest. Just follow the aroma.

Might hit the library as well. It's cool in there. They have lotsa trades and GNs.

May was endless. June seems to be elapsing at a much more normal rate.

Expected highlight of the weekend is to watch Avengers and Prometheus in a single afternoon. Never used a nanny before, that's gonna be interesting too. Tonight, a free UFC event. Can't care less about NBA or football or any other sport for that matter.

Currently in the middle of our Southwest USA vacation, spending the weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Tonight is dinner at Cafe Pasqual in the heart of the town; tomorrow is the Farmers Market, followed by a spa visit and massage. Sunday is a leisurely drive up to Taos.

I vaguely care about the football, because if Spain win the thing (the whole thing, not their first match or what have you) I'll win some money.

This weekend. I have some things to do tomorrow morning. Then off to the grandparents with my folks, and probably get dinner after. Free dinner is good.

Nowt much on the agenda.

Screw you all, I'm watching all the football, all weekend.

And then complaining for the next two weeks as I can't see any of the 5pm kick-offs due to being at work.

Apart from the footy, this weekend will be spent with my son - he knows what a football is but seems to refuse to learn how to do an overhead kick at 15 months old. Slacker.

Thanks for the tip, Miqque. I found a great Nut Brown Ale from the Santa Fe Brewing Company, but I'm looking forward to what Denver has to offer.

Was at a friend's birthday yesterday; he started it off with a guided tour through some of the more ancient parts of the city. The tour was actually done by another friend, who's an arts history doctor and who does guided tours for a living. Fascinating stuff, though, especially some hidden gems like parts of the Roman city walls in a parking garage and the oldest existing early Christian baptism church, hidden in an ugly little concrete labyrinth.

Chores, visit to the post office, some shopping, trying a new/old recipe and arguing the toss here on MW.

Tomorrow I will do... something.
