On You Tube (snigger) I learned today that if the NWO's goal is realised, there will be four super states ruling the world, before they all merge again to form ' Mexico The USA and Canada are supposed to merge to form the super state The North America Union and that their new currency is to be called 'The Amero'....sounds like one of those crap souless modern (come out of a plastic mold) family utility vehicles.

Please, the North American super-state would be called "The United States of America" and the currency would be the "dollar."

I mentioned that in random comics thread. It's a bit perplexing to me. I haven't been in a while but I'm pretty sure nothing goes on there that warrants a shroud of secrecy. And it's the only place on line where you can look at John Byrne commissions and where people are discussing John Byrne's new comics. That said, Byrne can obviously do whatever he wants with his own site.

I think I stopped by every couple of months... usually while waiting for some large file to download or the like. I could understand the policy that non-members could not post - I'm sure that they had more than their share of trolls. And of course he can do what he likes - I just wonder what caused them to decide you had to be a member to even view messages.

You can still become a member though, if you're that curious. The Millarworld Pub used to be invisible to non-members.

The naked girl to the right of Jon Marsh of The Beloved is Tess Daly off the TV.

It's a great tune anyway.

Hello:

You know, I always thought that because a lot of
you regular MWers live overseas relative to the
US, that you were all ignorant to the little in-jokes,
nuances, and terms in Amercan culture.

Now it came to my attention that I should not assume
such things as it is condescending.

I learnt today that they can't start the British Grand Prix until they have identified a free neurosurgical ICU bed to take a high-speed casualty.

I think all these barriers, if ever there in the TV age, are reduced even further in the internet one.

It's often said a New Yorker has more in common with a Londoner than someone in Utah.

know how sometimes I remind people of the stereotype that Americans don't get irony. Al-x saying that sometimes those from outside his little-known country don't get jokes from their popular culture is a pretty prime example.

Now, I'm going to have my tea, and play some computer games until it's time to go to work the morn.

Hello:

Perhaps someone should start a thread
called Little Nuances and everyone can
post cultural terms.

Just saying....

I learnt that the Red Sox were originally called the Red Stockings. They should have stuck with that. Very manly.

Also the first proper baseball team was called the New York Knickerbockers. They practised in public for a while before havin their first game against some cricketers. They got creamed.

Well, I have started too many threads already Mike
and I don't want to dominate the Pub. That 's why
I am giving the opportunity for others.

Modesty, you see...Posted Image
