I've had a login for a long time, but I decided to dip my feet in and actually start posting.

My name is Chris Hunt, I'm (mostly) an artist, but I also write and have done a bit of self publishing. I just started working professionally as a freelance artist late last year, penciling and inking a comic for a smaller publisher called, Zip Comics, which recently put out Harvey Pekar's last book, Cleveland. The book, called Super Salaryman Robot, is sitting in a dark corner right now, waiting to be released. Hopefully sooner than later. Also was able to do some work with Universal Records, working on a music video with Asher Roth, called Last Man Standing. I have a foot in the door, but still mostly cutting my teeth professionally.

So, I'm posting up a few pages for you guys to look at, and I'd love to hear some feedback, and would love any advice you have as far as participating in the community. I've posted randomly on forums before, but I've never been able to crack into the actual "community" if that makes sense.

This is a little 3 pager called "The Magic Sword" that I did with a friend who is a music producer. He basically gave me a song to work with, and I adapted a story around it. This is all me, pencils, inks, colors.

And this is a little one page I did for fun. Pencils, inks me, and my friend Shay Plummer on colors.

Thank you, sir. Been working hard on it for about six years now. Been fortunate to have some great teachers in the industry, the main one being Paul Pope, who taught me how to begin to use a brush. Still working on my "unique" style, I feel like a lot of PP still creeps in if I'm not careful.

This is a page from the Salaryman book I mentioned earlier. Again, me on pencils and inks, Shay on colors.

Love the Boba Fett piece! Real spaghetti western feel to it!

As for getting involved in the community here - make sure to post on all the boards, don't just stick to the Creative bit. Everyone's pretty welcoming if you act like a normal human being.

Thanks everyone! I branched out yesterday and jumped in on a thread in The Pub. Kind of daunting at first but I'm sure it gets less intimidating as time goes by. Any good recommendations as far as interesting parts of the forum for a new guy, like me?

Love it! Great style you have there and the colouring is awesome. Reminds me a little of old Japanese prints mixed with a Kirby-era comic.

And Boba Fett/Clint Eastwood crossover? F' YEAH!

All you have to know about me is that I'm married to Kristen Bell, even though she doesn't know it yet.

All of those pictures of..."gentlemen bits" in my inbox are making sense now...

Forgot to put these up, did a few Godzilla pages on spec for IDW last March. Lost the job, but it was to a friend so it wasn't too bad a blow.

Hahahaha! I never even thought about that! I have either lost all credibility with that, or gained massive amounts...such things are not for me to know.

No one said anything about stopping...Adam

Craggy, I do look at scripts occasionally, mostly from friends I've already worked with already. My deal basically is, when I read a script, how much fun would I have drawing it. I learned a while ago that there's no amount of money that makes drawing something that drives me insane, alright.

So, yes, I do look at scripts is the simple answer.

I tend to ramble.
