This is so true. My daughter has started reading Peter and Jane books and the illustrations are from the 1960s. The phone, typewriter and old fashioned cash register caused problems in Jane's play shop. We just call the typewriter a computer to save confusion.

There's a video somewhere of French kids being handed technological artefacts from the 80s (or earlier) and being asked to guess their function. Funny and old-making at the same time.This is so true.
