Comics are my passion. Most of my time is spent writing and drawing short Sci-Fi comics soon to appear at my website; www.hadroncolliderscope.com.
Hi all.

I write comics. I wrote shorts for last year's Liberty Annual and Reading With Pictures and I regularly write short comics for Hadron Colliderscope.

I'm in the process of rebooting the Tumblr for my webcomic Sherbet. It's about Sherlock Holmes... if Sherlock Holmes were a lesbian from the steampunk future who solved paranormal mysteries.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but give it a shot, we've been getting some good reviews. It's sort of like Sherlock Holmes meets Doctor Who, but with feminism and mythology akin Buffy and all the poor taste of Preacher.

We have fantastic interior art by Josh Mathus and cover art by my wife Alice Meichi Li (above).

(And this week we're in the process of reposting our old comics with new additional content, so there's no better time to jump on!)

I'd love to hear your feedback, good or bad.

They were great stories. I found them difficult to physically read. It would have been nice if they were bigger, as I couldn't appreciate the art-work properly.
Other than that, this is a series I would follow (buy) if it were digitally available. Professional, with a nice euro feel to the art work.
Your wife is a very talented lady also.
Cheers,
Steve.

Thank you Stephen.

Yeah it's not ideal, Tumblr shrinks them down a little too much. I'm working on a better permanent solution to that, but if you stay tuned for the rest of the week, I'm pretty sure some of the later ones have bigger, clearer lettering.

Also if it's a real problem and you want a better look at it, you can right click and save it - the file is bigger than Tumblr lets on.

That's a really fantastic compliment, thanks very much. I do love Terry Gilliam. It wasn't concious, but I guess his sense of humour and over all depravity has rubbed off on me.

Heh. That's as good as a concept gets, for me.

I liked it a lot, it's immensely fun, the (brief glimpses of) the characters makes them seem real, the dialogue has a good ring to it... and the art is amazing. I'd say you've got something good there. Are you planning on bringing it out in book form at any point soonish? I don't really follow webcomics.

Good stuff but I agree you need to present it better. Put it into pdf and cbr formats. There are comics a lot worse that will get more traction because they make it easy for the reader to consume.

Wait, I hadn't seen the price tag on the cover there... did this used to be in book form? Is it still available? Is there going to be more?

Hi. We did already put some of these out in comic form, but it was a small run and it sold out in San Francisco and NYC. We're currently putting together an annual for later in the year with some exclusive print stories and some of what you see here.

For everyone having real trouble reading it, the slightly older versions are all available on www.hadroncolliderscope.com where the text should be a lot clearer.

This may also interest you; http://www.hadroncol...utube/futube-1/ It's an adaptation of Warren Ellis's flash fiction that the Sherbet team worked on.

Not to toot MY own horn or anything, koff koff, but SHERBET artist Josh Mathus and I did a few things for Hadron Colliderscope too:

"World's Cup" - http://www.hadroncol...cup/worldscup1/
"Target Acquired" - http://www.hadroncol...etaquiredfinal/

Of course, the writer of SHERBET and I did a few too ;-)

I got a page back from Mathus a little while ago with a single panel in it that is more vividly adult than anything we've done yet. It almost made my eyes bleed. This is gonna be awesome.

By the by, I'm taking pre-orders for reprints of the 2011 Halloween Special and the brand new 2012 Summer Special if anybody still wanted to buy a physical copy of this stuff.

So you know though, it's all material that is available for free on the site!
