i like it.
It's a good 'un.
Sloop John B makes me think of primary school. My school had singing practice on Tuesdays and we sang that every week. I think our headmaster was a fan.
Yeah, we sang this one in my elementary school also. And now I know why the parents liked this one so much when we sang it at a concert.
In other news: I can tell exactly what kind of mood I'm in by whether or not the soundtrack to "Rent" makes me want to punch the lead characters in the throat while shouting, "You're NOT COOL, you insufferable bitching @$$wipes! Grow up, stop whining and get a god damn job!"

i really like "light my candle."
it has never once made me want to go ballistic.
I'm joking of course... a bit
That said, I've had several of the songs stuck in my head for a week. And I know from experience that it's fun music to perform; singing the opening solo from "La Vie Boheme" is one of my more fond concert memories.

. I like the show well enough; but sometimes I just find the characters a little obnoxious, and the teenage-level logic of "sell outs" vs "REAL people" grating and not nearly as deep as the show seems to think it is.

i've never actually seen the show (or the movie) so i don't actually know what it's about. drug addicts and street kids or something. light my candle is the only song i've heard. off to you tube!
