I was born in '85 and yet I remember all but one of those things... C64 wasn't even the first computer I had access to as a child.

Footloose is something I only saw quite recently...

True, but I LOVED Knightrider even had a bicycle with Hasselhoff's face on it... (Tried to find a picture online but it seems there aren't any...)

Yes and knowing from repeats and 'remembering' isn't the same. I've seen King Kong, I Love Lucy and The Beatles singing Give Peace a Chance but I don't remember them from when they were happening.

The Hoff was on BGT in front of 10m viewers last year, even toddlers know who he is.
