So, to explain to Bruce why 2:03am was early for me to go to bed this morning...I am off for the first of 5 days today.
Had the gas man come round and check that my boiler is neither looking like it will blow up, nor poisoning me, which is good.
Got to go out soon, will see about picking up my comics when I am in the world, then off round to a mate's flat to have our big N64 games night.

Today is due date, no sign of baby making his appearance however so we are off out. Got some diy to do, just had some net curtains delivered so we need to get some wire to hang them. I also need to get some felt for the shed roof, we lost the old felt in high winds a while back, now the rain has started to fall it has reminded me that it needs covering.
When we get in and finish the diy we are going to watch the next disc of game of thrones and then Thor!

Sitting at Mac and over looking a lake, kids have easter holidays from school so the looking at sky cartoons and breaking down the house, looking at my front lawn and thinking need to build a wall and get more chips for street out side house. Lake looks calm like a mirror. It a sign of more good weather coming.

Sitting about waiting for a courier to come and pick up a package (returning a Kindle to amazon). The fucker didn't show up on Tuesday and I've wasted the best part of the day waiting for him to show today.

What happened?
Just the usual nightmare of false advertising and broken promises in a real estate market that’s gotten pretty crazy since the last time I lived in Berlin.

Told wife I wanted to check out the charity shops for books, immediate pay off. First three books of Sin City for £6!

All the power went out in a sizeable chunk of North London for 10-15 minutes, and the 3G network hiccuped a bit at the same time.
On the off-chance that it actually was the start of the Zombie Apocalypse, I wandered to the local corner shop and bought extra supplies of beer. Got back, opened beer, power came back on.
I feel as if I've probably failed some essential Mark Hall Zombie Apocalypse Plan Test.

How is "get beer" not at least near the top of the list..?

I think Mark expects sobriety from his foot soldiers.

Another day pissed away waiting for a courier that didn't show (not holding out much hope that they'll appear in the next 19 minutes).

I am so happy today. Good financial tidings! I may just book an airline ticket to some far away destination.
Drinks on me! Emmmm well imaginary drinks. For imaginary money.

Just picked up a used copy of Mark Evanier's "Comic Books and Other Necessities of Life". It's autographed by Evanier and Sergio Aragones, who also threw in a sketch. Price? $1.95

Just got home from work and now I'm spreading the word about my project on Kickstarter. Hopefully people aren't sick of me doing that. But hey...gotta do..what I gotta do...

Great start to the day. I woke up with Wolverine hair and a zit that makes it look like I'm wearing a bindi.

Been on a few days' vacation, meeting up with my parents and sisters an their families near the river Mosel. This is a wine-growing region and it's very beautiful there. Had a very entertaining and nice couple of days in which I still managed to get my grading for these holidays done. Next up, trying to cut a video from a theatre thing we did last year. I promised the pupils they'd get one before they graduate (which is soon).

We spent the day doing various bits and pieces including buying baby clothes.
So far we haven't bought any new baby clothes, everything we have has been given to us. It was nice to go and get a few bits that we have chosen. I was hoping going for a long walk/shopping session would help get baby on the move but still no sign at this point.

Was planning to get up first thing for a run. Seeing as I've not had much sleep all night that now seems unlikely. Stupid insomnia.

Never been able to go for a run "first thing". I wouldn't know how the hell to do that. First thing is, roll out of bed, make coffee, sit down and switch on laptop. Slowly retrieve consciousness from zombie mode while crawling around Millarworld.
(Alternatively, on weekdays, it's roll out of bed, make coffee, crawl to shower, be shocked awake, grab coffee and run out the door. But I need the pressure of work for that kind of effort.)
