I don't really see how you could get the same experience on FB - I find it to be a much more passive way of interacting with people compared to here.

You can replicate comic comments, movie reviews and picture sharing pretty easily. Show off your new art or talk about upcoming projects. But it's not as good as forum - not even close. Still, I think forums in general could learn alot from the Facebook model to make them better. Profile pages, walls, easy tracking of individual poster activity and so on. It'll be interesting to see how this forum develops over the next few years.

can't you see posts by user? I know there are forums that do it. That said, Millarworld is the only forum I use that doesn't infuriate me with it's terrible, terrible software. Said it before and say it again: it's the only place I go to on the internet that works all the time. 60% of the time, anyway.

And let's not forget our good friend Miqque Loveland, who still pops up periodically but not nearly as often as we need him to. Miss ya, Miqq!

It's amazing to see how Facebook has taken so many people away from the forum. Kind of a shame really, but I can see why it happened.

And not just this forum. I regularly frequent four forums and traffic on all of them is down significantly. Facebook and Twitter have taken over.

I still lurk from time to time... it's nice to see so many of you still around on here, though. I miss Miqque, Johan, and a few others from over the years, though. I shed a single tear into my sadness jar for each of them every night before bed.

Miqque still wanders in when he's been to the library, I think his problem is a lack of access to the internet rather than having lost interest in the board.

Yeah, Facebook isn't a place to have actual conversations.

I miss Aris and James Bragle. The N&CA section was very lively with them around.

Never really understood Archonis: I mean, you have this guy who is, by all accounts, hard as nails and yet he seemed, to me, to be doing the likes of Bin Laden and co the biggest favour they could ask by posting just about every single Islamic terrorist plot past and present ever!

Just never got my head around that split. If you really want to screw those kind of people over, you don't talk about them much, you live life as usual, their plots? They'll be stopped, end of.

At least we have Facebook to keep us connected. I miss Bruno, Kiel and Adam but at least I can bug them on Facebook. And now we have that Millarwolrd group on there too. Makes it easier to keep in touch.

Kiel still sends me a postcard now and then. It's the coolest thing ever.

You know who else I miss? Yakko Dan. He wasn't crazy like Archonis, and he had a perspective we don't see anymore here.

I have some images of Millarworlders Ciaran photoshopped. They're on my other computer, but I'll post them at a later point.

Hey guys! I'm on my semi-annual nostalgia spree, seeing if my name's been mentioned and whatnot. It's awesome to see some familiar faces are still posting! I lost the forum bug a long time ago. It's all facebook, all the time, though the conversations are of another nature entirely.

If anybody feels like adding friending me on facebook for old times sake and/or to keep tabs, feel free to do so. You're all okay in my book. I private post under the pseudonym: etnomoiR nauJ, except backwards. I'm trying to keep my private shit somewhat of google, what with entering a career and whatnot. My past is poisonous, what can I say? smile.png I'm probably doing the anonymity thing all wrong and I'm sure Lorcan will let me know. :P

If you feel like keeping tabs on my art, it's at http://www.facebook.com/johanart

I see that today is the birthday of both Jen Hook and Ben Denkinger, neither of whom are seen much around here anymore. Got me thinking about other MWers who rode off into the sunset: Nic, Johan Aberg, WonK, and others too numerous to mention.

Unless you want to, y'know, mention them.

Is this guy an artist? I follow a guy called this on Facebook - his artwork is cracking!

Bless your heart!
