What's funny is that the more PKD movies they make, the less sense you get of what the novels are like.

Another trailer for a trailer? It's becoming quite the trend isn't it?!
I think was just the teaser for the trailer for the featurette.

Kamala Films has acquired film rights to the Kazuo Koike-created 1970s Japanese manga Lone Wolf and Cub, attaching David & Janet Peoples to write the script. Fast Five‘s Justin Lin had already been attached to direct. Kamala’s Marissa McMahon will produce with 1212 Entertainment’s Elizabeth Grave and Joshua Long, with Roberto Grande exec producing.
The original was set feudal Edo period, and chronicles the story of Ogami Itto, the Shogun’s elite executioner. In an attempt to take his position, the rival Yagyu clan falsely accuses Itto of a crime and murders his wife. Disgraced, Itto is forced to wander Japan with his three-year-old son Daigoro as an assassin for hire, earning the title “Lone Wolf and Cub.” Ultimately, Itto and Daigoro seek revenge on the Yagyu clan. Koike’s manga, published in the United States by Dark Horse Comics, is considered a seminal work.
I've only read the first few volumes of the series. Should really read more of it.

They've got the best young actress of her generation and a director who probably cares passionately about the themes of the story. They're going to have to go some way to top the seventies version.
But yes, they'll need some real luck to go with the talent. Remakes (re-adaption, whatever) are for more often miss than hit.

i'm going to have to question that.

i'm going to have to question that.
I'm not even sure what other actresses are considered part of her generation, so it would be hard for me to argue it one way or the other. But there are certainly plenty of young actresses near her age that have given impressive perfomances in recent years (i.e Jennifer Lawrence, Hailey Steinfeld, Elizabeth Olsen, etc.). I do like her, though. She's been quite good in the few things I've seen her in and she certainly seems to be in demand.

None of them are as established yet, they're making their mark but Moretz already has a bunch of credits for really good work in a whole range of film and TV, some of it better than others (Big Mommas House 2?)I'm not even sure what other actresses are considered part of her generation, so it would be hard for me to argue it one way or the other. As for ages, Moretz is 15 so only Hailee Steinfeld is also a teenager right now. She was great in 'True Grit'.
Jennifer Lawrence is 21, Elizabeth Olsen is 23...
Now I'm googling young actresses...
Yes, it's an arguable point and there are others out there who have the talent to keep going, with great careers, for many years to come, but Moretz does already have that career. Now she just has to look at Lindsay Lohan's choices and do the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!

Dakota Fanning definitely. In fact (now that I'm more awake) I'd say she's a bit ahead of Moretz as things stand at the moment.Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Abigail Breslin... I'd say the latter two are probably at least as well regarded as Moretz.
