'The Darkest Hour' is a stupid film.

You know that cliche actor question, "What's my motivation?" Well if anyone in this movie asked that I doubt they got a good answer.

SOMEONE (not naming names, DITTA) has made me start watching the Wrestlemania pre-show. I could stay up and watch it. I have the money to pay for it.

edit: it's done. I may be in MW chat to cover it

wrestlemania was pretty good. HHH/Taker, Jericho/Punk and the Divas matches were the best.

Caught up on the latest series of South Park. Been a pretty weak start judging by the first 3 episodes. The Cash for Gold episode has given me the biggest laugh (the prank phone calls to the shopping channel) so far.

He seems a bit obsessed with Russell Brand as well. Generally I think Brand is a bit light even as a satire of celebrity but I haven't seen much of what he does in the UK. Only his US imported act

As Dave says he pretty much has the same profile it's just that he's been around longer and there was that enormous fuss in the UK that surrounded him and Jonathan Ross phoning up an old actor and making jokes about Brand sleeping with his grandaughter (which he did) and resulted in a huge moral outrage from the tabloid newspapers (think of the ridiculous level of overreaction to the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction in the US and you'd be in the same ballpark).

LIA -- oh, you're right! I have to catch up soon. It's just very uncomfortable for me to sit at my computer for two hours.

Currently watching the first episode of Ultimate Spider-Man. Not entirely sure about it yet.

Watched season 2 episode 1 of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes earlier though and that was great. The Private War of Dr Doom. They really handled the FF well, explaining just enough to keep any potentially clueless viewers in the know but without having it as the first time the teams had met. That easy familiarity between the teams helped give the idea of the Avengers taking place in a broad Marvel Universe (which is only going to expand with the rest of this season going by the preview images).

whilst both instances were blown way out of proportion, I do think leaving an old man voice messages telling him how you've f'ed his daughter, and playing them on a radio show is a bit worse than not showing a nipple.

Hey, it was just his grand-daughter.

I wouldn't. I don't think adding a generation to the familial relationship makes it better than not showing a nipple on American TV.

sure, I don't think Johnny was serious though. is it better or worse that the girl is an extra generation removed? is there any real difference?

anyway, nipples for everybody!

Of course I like cocktails! I missed this past weekend's episode. I'll just catch it online.

Right now I'm watching a documentary on the MPAA rating system. It does seem a bit messed up how they rate films.

I'm all about some Mad Men. Was January Jones in a fat suit this past episode??
