So Playarts is apparently releasing some kickass figures of MaleShep, Garrus, and Ashley (but so far no Liara, Tali, Femshep, or EDI, come on Japan, you can produce potentially topless Queens Blade figures but none of the popular ME ladies? )

Posted Image
Note that that figure is completely posable. Male Shep comes with the Omniblade, N7 Eagle (worst of the pistols), and N7 Valkyrie, Garrus comes with the Incisor (worst of the rifles) and Mattock, and Ashley comes with the Avenger and Katana (shotgun). I really wish they'd given Shep the Avanger and Katana, Garrus the Mantis or Viper, and Ash the Mattock and Claymore.

New (free) multiplayer expansion DLC coming next week:

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/05/24/mass-effect-3-rebellion-pack-announced.aspx

The Rebellion Pack includes the following content:
  • Two New Action-Packed Maps – Land on Firebase Jade, located in a Salarian STG base on Sur’Kesh and fight to control Firebase Goddess on the Asari homeworld of Thessia.
  • Six Powerful New Unlockable Characters – Level and promote six new unlockable characters, including the ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard, the Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel or the Male Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator.
  • New In-Mission Objective – Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.
  • New Gear Slot – A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs.
  • Lethal New Weapons – Eliminate the enemy with deadly new weapons, including the Cerberus Harrier, Krysae Sniper Rifle, and Reegar Carbine.
Glad to see a new objective added to the mix. And Vorcha could be fun playable characters.

Yeah, new objectives are a good thing, though I really hope that they plan to offer completely new game modes at some point, and I definitely hope they change the way things are unlocked, because my interest level has dropped well bellow the point where I'm willing to grind FBW anymore to unlock things. The new classes and weapons sound nifty, but I still don't have most of the stuff from the last DLC yet.

Yeah, new game modes would be ideal. As would dropping the random packs. Or, if they insist on keeping those, make character packs, weapon packs, and equipment packs instead of pack with a random assortment of all that stuff.

I made my first moveinto multiplayer last night, not just my first ME3 multiplayer, literally my first on line gaming experience.
Bioware/EA forced me into it my ensuring it is impossible to get the 5000 EMS required for the best ending without hitting multiplayer.
It was quite fun, but I can see it getting pretty old, pretty quickly.

It took me several weeks to get burned out on it. The key is to shift classes if you start to get bored they all have their own tricks to them.

That's odd. I got the "best" ending without having to touch multiplayer.

Yeah I never touched the MP until recently but beat the game over a month ago and got the "best ending."

Depends on your choices though. I also got what I think is the "best" ending before doing any MP, but apparently if you want to get the "red" ending where
Spoiler
you need slightly more EMS than you can get without dipping into MP. Really though, to get the MP boost necessary you'd only need to play 1-2 rounds on random sector/random enemy to boost your percentage above 50%.

really want to get stuck into ME1-3 as Fem Shep. Want to roll something with Biotics as well, since I've only played Soldier in single player. What recommend ye?

Just go straight up Adept. That was my favorite class. I pretty much never used weapons when I was an Adept.

Vanguard! I can't speak to the first two games, as I was straight-up Infiltrator in those, but after playing one in ME3 MP I rolled up one in single player and it's a ton of fun. I was concerned about playing what is essentially a melee class in ME, but it totally works since Charge rebuilds your shields. I just maxed that out first for recharge and shields, and I can Charge, shoot shoot shoot, repeat. You just need an SMG or pistol for finishing people off, and rarely use even a fraction of the ammo available.

Vanguard is more fun in ME2 and 3 than in 1, as the biotic charge ability isn't in ME1. It's a fun class on the easier difficulties, for sure. You can pretty much just charge through the whole game.

Well, then maybe go Adept in 1 and then switch to Vanguard in 2. One of the benefits of 2 allowing class rebuilding.

Adept sounds good for ME1. Thinking of naming her Jean Shepard, redhead and playing Biotics like mutant/Phoenix abilities.

Like OGUL says, it isn't possible to get the Shepard lives ending without MP.
You need 5000 Effective Military Strength and the most you can get with single player is about 3800.
All you get extra is like a split second clip of Shepard breathing, but I'm a completest so...
In all fairness the effort required in MP to get galactic readiness up to 80% is minimal and I've enjoyed it so far.

Finished it this weekend.

I know the ending pissed people off, but I liked it. (I went the middle way)

I was initially annoyed at having to play multiplayer, but I ended up really enjoying it.
