A US retailer is advertising a submarine shaped like a killer whale - for more than £60,000.
Hammacher Schlemmer's $100,000 Killer Whale Submarine can breach from the water, just like a real whale.
It has pectoral fins with control levers, and a 255-horsepower supercharged Rotax axial-flow engine.
Underwater, it can go 40 kilometres per hour, while it can hydroplane on the surface at up to 80km/h.
The submarine doesn't go very far underwater so a built-in snorkel is used to supply air to the engine as deep as five feet.
The pilot uses levers to control pectoral fins and steers with foot pedals.
A live video feed from a camera mounted on the dorsal fin is fed into the cockpit.

Anyway, enough pretty pictures. Now for something a bit more flippant...

Is that a real picture?!? Or has it been "tweaked"?
i think it's almost entirely accurate, although some of those light rays seem like they may have been added digitally.

I would like this room in my house
The ladder's kind of disappointing. I'd want some kind of rotating cylindrical hover-lift mechanism.

I think its probably an HDR photo. The process involves shooting a range of exposures, from very dark to very light, and then combining them for maximum detail and colour;Cool. The light does look a bit JJ Abrams.

The results are striking, but also quite surreal.
And yes, the lens flare looks fake, its a pity it was added really.

Yeah but... how in God's name do you get it on the horse?

It could have been done that way, I don't know...but I think you can get this sort of light when the sun breaks through a thick layer of clouds. That vivid contrast I mean, I agree that the lens flare seems a bit too much.
Anyway, I liked the picture. It is one of the prettiest parts of Prague, the hill below the Strahov monastery. When you look the other way from that same point, you get this spectacular view:
